I sometimes have the same problem has you. I can neither stand or comprehend text messages like that. However I recently became familiar with that way of writing. Sometimes it is best to avoid it. I say, delete the text messages and just call your friend. Good luck.

urban, Pujah, slang can come in many forms,

 

slang in my opinion is anything that deviates from conventional speech. Not convinced.....

 

"Few linguists have endeavored to clearly define what constitutes slang.[1] Attempting to remedy this, Bethany K. Dumas and Jonathan Lighter argue that an expression should be considered "true slang" if it meets at least two of the following criteria:

for further clearance, "in linguistics, a register is a subset of a language used for a particular purpose or in a particular social setting"

 

 

By the way, sometimes when i am reading the texts, i swear it sounds like slang. for example "how u doin?". she also says it like in that american slang form. so its still practically slang!

Change 'dossing around' to 'chillin' and 'in a bit' to 'peace' and that was me back in the day
