Somali Prime Minister names new Minister for Public Works

Somali Prime minister Hassan Ali Kheire has appointed Abdi Adan Hosow as the new minister for Public Works barely a day after Abdifitah Ibrahim Geeseey resigned from the post.

Adan Issack, Somali deputy minister of Information told the reporters in Mogadishu that Prime minister nominated Mr. Hosow, a former Bay governor to replace Mr. Gesey.

The move comes a day after Gesey resigned over the arrest and exclusion of a former al-Shabab leader Robow from presidential election slated for this week.

Abdifatah Gesey said he would continue as a member of the house of the people in federal parliament as a representative from Southwest state and serve the interest of his people diligently.
