Pig Posted December 10, 2001 Nomads: would you rather hear the "just wanna be friends" line or "I'm not attracted to you" line or "aniga iyo adiga walaalaan nahay' line. I've had to listen to so many of my Somali guy friends complain about the 'friends' line, but do you REALLY want to hear the REAL reason?
LadyFatima Posted December 11, 2001 Hmmmmmm? the TRUTH Hurts...but as they say a "A lie would have no sense unless the truth were felt dangerous." as Much as I like a Person to be HONEST with me, when it comes to this issue I think I rather hear the LIE? and tell the LIE... Seriously, how can you tell someone that you didn't like them cuz of how they look?? Cia
unixguru Posted December 22, 2001 How can you tell a person you don't like how they look? Easy... You look at them and laugh...
Jaber Posted December 22, 2001 Its a well known fact that 9 outta 10 times a guy gets rejected by some girl, its the rule of the universe,so most men are naturally prepared to get dumped at any moment for no particular reasons, some cry, some beg and some ask,why?!...And some walk away with whats left of their dignity. Women on the other hand can't handle rejection, they too emotional, just like children when they want a toy to play with, therefore,a gentleman should take it easy on a lady,if you don't like her do like I do,be polite yet firm. Jaber Posted December 23, 2001 Hiboooooo This is exactly why I think women r way too emotional, its a fact, you take things personal, didn't mean to offend your womanhoodness, but in the Somali culture there is a saying "Dumarku waa caruur kurtay". There's nothing wrong with it,hey, kids r cool,we all love kids, but at times they could really be irritating especially when they grow up. Another Somali saying goes like this "Women are breasts'(hope you don't find it offensive too),its our beautiful culture. By the way,am still thats good ol' Jaber you knew. Captivating_SouL Posted June 17, 2003 Come on ladies'- am sure we all done and said lies but where will it get us'..its like each and every time you make somethin obvious and yet seem not to be rude' they think everythin is str8..? So get to the point-- Here's two scenrio's which one do you prefer? 1. You tell a brotha a lie' as in "eh saxiib am NOT ready for a relationship" or we'll take flying-still line " need to concentrate on my books eitha way'- if you see someone you are merely attracted to physically..and you wanna get to knoe this person...you'll need to in actuallty go on a date rite..ight now just say the guy you lied to call him X see's you n tha hot fella Y on date...and they knoe one anotha..eitha be brotha's..cousins..best friends..family friend..acquantants etc (you knoe how we somalis are lol).. how you gonna feel?..drama' drama..n shout it might even ruin thingz btw you n Y..even thou X may not speak to him of tha' your guilt will kick in..and its a motha*****h wallaahi..n you feel like ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz dosin off lol. O. R 2. Tell him "i respect you as a friend n that's all the reason why i dont wanna give you a line or lie bout somethin cuz that aint in me...you see' you and me aren't connecting on that level..i dont wanna sound too cheesy but i just prefer we'll be bettah off as being friends.. ( you see' you pulled everythin on the table..you didnt lie..you were smooth and he just might take you on that offer of being friends without any heart feelings...) N LADIES..REMEMBER BE SMART BOUT HOW YOU END THINGS..BE RESPECTABLE..N STR8 TO THE T . CUZ NOWADAYS BROTHA'S BE TALKIN..AH HUH...JUST LIKE TLC GIRLS TALK BOUT .........INDEED THE BROTHA'S TOO..SO MAKE SURE YOU GOT YOUR BACK...CUZ MAN CAN BE SOOO WHAA :EMOTIONAL WHEN IT COMES TO REJECTION..THAT'S MORAL OF THE STORY N BY BAD MOUTHIN..OR TELLIN LIES TO THEIR BOYZ OF HOW THEY DUMPED YOU.or HOW BLAH BLAH..BUT IF YOU KEEP EM AS FRIENDS THEY WONT TALK....HOW DID THAT SAYING GO.........UMMMM KEEP YOUR FRIENDS CLOSE AND YOUR ENIEMIES CLOSER RITE...EXACTLY' NOW LET THAT SEAK N SOOO LONG 1 2 3 .................
