Where Somaliland Leading Process Began? People Want To Know?

Poor people, goes the saying, pass down poverty the way rich people pass down an inheritance.

The greatest legacy governments can pass down to one another is the legacy of inclusion — a system that reflects the image of every citizen and the echo of the present and the mirror of the future.

We are not born knowing how to lead, even how to live together. Leading and living together in peace side by side come with learning. To make the art of leading process a source of gaity and joy, leaders must learn that “to lead is to let people live.”

Without learning how to let people live, one cannot be a leader that can lead a nation aright. The secret to the leading process is that people are not led as they are, but they are led as they could be.

Realisticslly speaking to lead is to train and discipline people, to go over to where they are standing, take them by the hands, and then guide them to do things, tell them how they do things and why they do things, in order to create a society with a state of mind that craves for knowledge, a mind that is full of interest and energy to create new things.

The possibility of meeting the real art of leading is to build a system of government that has the capability and capacity to pave a clear path for the people, set out goals, devise plans, fulfill what is promised and check progress continually, to ensure that things are working well and if the things are not working well, figure out why and make change.

Leading is born of disorganization, of fear of going astray, of going wrong, of doing less, of not being secure, of being alone, of making a mistake, of doing the same thing over and over again.

Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is impossible. Of course doing things in the same way is what always wears human creativity out. The spirit to do things in more ways than one is among the key opportunities that create continuous progress and development.

Excellent leading behavior is the cumulative corollary of several attributes like vision, op determination, focus, diligence, integrity, moral values, self-confidence, patience and passion. But the most important factor conducive to attaining excellent leading skills is sincerity, coupled with courage and conscience. No amount of external goading, however persistent, can veer us towards excellent leadership. When we are constantly driven by an insatiable yearning to live life at its highest dimension by delivering our best, this kind of passion helps us realise our highest potential, which if not tapped remains dormant.

The leading behavior of an ill-educated man is as useless as the tail of a goat which neither covers its rear ends nor protects it from the bites of insects.

In Somaliland, the dress code has its uses, hiding a culture that one has accustomed to it in the heat of running a country is quite unusual. It conveys much of all that hangs on the figure that wears the crown, and let it be said that there is no hierarchy of illusion: catch any cop and you will notice that there is a telling command in his tone with which he tries to conquer the allegiance of every creature. A soldier is always a tyrant, if he can get the chance to be one.

It is by offering faith and trust and by serving all people on equal footing that leaders earn the right reputition to lead a nation. Naturally people’s hearts are like flowers that remain open to the softly falling dew, but start to close up in the violent downpour of rain.

That is where the excellent art of leadiership begins from. Who knows where Somaliland leading process began from? The people want to know.

The system that Kulmiye party has built will not change unless we change our thinking.
