The Flight operations at Somalia’s biggest International Airport have returned to normal after cancellation on Monday morning.

The operations were affected by an inferno that gutted one of the restaurants at new Adden Abdulle Terminal.

The cause of the fire is said to be a result of an electric fault.

The flights were delayed for two hours because the area was cordoned off and passengers could not access the terminal.

According to airport officials, international flights en route to the airport were directed to elsewhere for hours but later arrived.

No injuries were reported as the result of the airport blaze.

Aden Abdulle International Airport is becoming busy as resumption flights by international carriers including Ethiopian airlines and Kenyan airways have started.
