Suldaanka Posted November 9, 2018 The Eritrean dictator seems to be in control here. The odd one out is obviously clear who is just following which ever direction he is being led.

Che -Guevara Posted November 9, 2018 What's interesting the secessionists (not you three) would have been jumping up and down if that was Muse the menace in the middle. That said, I don't know who is advising Farmajo but he is not getting any mileage out of this meaningless meetings. The Eritrean dictator is the only one who getting any benefit. Muse Bixi ma doqonka Farmaajo ayaa moodaysa? He would have been driving the agenda not sitting there like a foolish. Like Diktoor Oodka, said, dhibaatada Cheeseman u gaysanaayo Somalia (Proper) will become very apparent long after he is gone. No body knows what exactly he is getting out of this. If all he got is to have Addis Abeba close doors on other Somali leaders including Somaliland. That may proof as a catalyst for Bay & Bakool 'gacan ku rimis' leaders who are creations of Ethiopia in the first place. just like Kenya is to Jubbaland. But as far as Somaliland is concerned or to some extent Puntland, it is not that big of a deal. Somaliland, specially, needed a wake up call to diversity its relationships and this may be a good opportunity. One of the unexpected results from this is that Djibouti is warming up to Somaliland. Where is our resident expert @galbeedi.
Che -Guevara Posted November 9, 2018 You mean the same sort of agenda setting skills that gifted 19% stake in Berbera Port to Ethiopia?

Che -Guevara Posted November 9, 2018 Oodweyne, The relationship between the secessionists and Ethiopians is one-sided. It's clear not what is Somaliland's actual policy [maybe you can tell us) towards Ethiopian other than walaalaheen jaarka but the reality is they have stake in Berbera, commerce goes one way and Ethiopia has no intention of helping Somaliland the elusive recognition. How Ethiopia deals with Somaliland is no different to any other Somali tribal region.

Old_Observer Posted November 9, 2018 21 minutes ago, Oodweyne said: It will be a "version of peace" purchased at the cost borne out from Somalia's long term prospect of an independent state of her own right. It will be a "version of peace" that will actually hasten the separation of Somalia and Somaliland (which I presume you do not want that). And in fact it will be proverbial "peace" (if even it will be such thing) that others will design it and it will be imposed by them on to Somalia. You will not know this now. But it will be apparent to you very soon. The main purpose of this dog and pony show is Djibouti and Sudan. Of course each of these Amigos has mountain of problem at home and can be 2-3 days to make a show that they are powerful influential etc and not just water carriers for UAE. Eritreans have a cartoon that shows Isayas only smiles when he crosses the border on his way out of the country. The Arabs are already focused on something else as seen by UAE in Somaliland which has made Isayas already suspicious.
Holac Posted November 9, 2018 That picture doesn't send a good message. Farmaajo is becoming a tool awrka lagu kacsado at the expense of his own brothers. But I am not surprised.
maakhiri1 Posted November 9, 2018 nothing , u guys reading too much, Farmaajo knows what he is doing and it is working. But they will say with a straight face they are doing it aboow calankan ku taaga nooh. Fiiri nooh eebow amxaarku walaalkeen leewayeh. Jabuuti is not happy with this development. Ghelleh by some magic will mend fences with US, maybe after this crisis is gone through the Saudis or through Britain. That day he will have the last laugh. Both Abiy and Isayas have millions in Abiy thousands in Isayas young unemployed. Ready tool for anyone to use. Ghelleh seems to be doing good by tribal chiefs of both parts of Djibouti. Ghelleh with Somaliland is what you can call Somali brotherhood, maybe under-handing each other but always business, that both understand. Isayas has list of people in Somalia that should be out of any power even a village. Those from UIC that made peace with Ethiopia. He was humiliated then and dictators never forgive those. Xaaji Xunjuf Posted November 10, 2018 Well in a sense you are very close on point he believes he can play sort of game that he is the Emperor and that he rules by air sir like georfy a political aristocrat dating back from the times of the 1860s when a certain Mr alula conquered asmara. And now he believes he is the king beyond mirab milash judge jurey and executer well we in Somaliland don't take him much serieous. He has some assets in Mogadishu particularly In the gov't ars a Mr zakeriya from the pirate enclave. And that Mr observer is the xamasien dictator who hijacked the lowland Islamic liberation From the late king xayle sellasie tafari. Which was launched by Ibrahim Sultan who created jebha. Now they are in kassalla eastern Sudan. So for what is worth Mr geele has issues with abudhabi but it's mostly politics and economic politicos in the region. Geele played a game of guarantor for Somali conflicts since the 1990s. When mujahid caydiid was fighting Americans he sided with them. Mr cheese is playing undermindig game with geele. But if geele pulls out of Somalia who is going to patrol hiiraan regions the Eritrean or Ethiopians or a new force. Allot of questions remain unanswered.
