Posted October 7, 2018 MOGADISHU (Caasimada Online)– Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed has received credentials from ambassadors of Germany and France at his office in the state house in Mogadishu In a statement released by the presidency, Somali President Farmaajo welcomed received the new Ambassadors of France and Germany Aline Kuster-Menager and Annett Gunther. Mr. Farmaajo wished the heads of diplomatic missions success in their work and expressed confidence that their work would contribute to strengthening ties and developing cooperation between the countries. The President assured his readiness to contribute to deepening of friendly relations between Somalia,of France and Germany, after meeting at his office in the state house in Mogadishu. “President Farmaajo today receives credentials from the new French and German Ambassadors to Somalia Aline Menager and Annett Günther respectively. HE Farmaajo encouraged them to work closely in improving the bilateral ties between Somalia and their respective countries”. Germany and France have joined the western countries reestablishing their long absence diplomatic presence in Somalia as the Horn of Africa country is recovering decades-long bloody conflict. French Ambassador Aline Kuster-Menager expressed her gratitude for his welcome and good wishes, stressing that she would exert maximum efforts to raise the Somali-French friendly relations to a qualitatively new level. The trio sides discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations and cooperation between their nations and means of enhancing them to serve the common interests of the two friendly countries and peoples. Somalia has been on its way to make a diplomatic come back across the world after more than two decades of war and extremists violances by Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab group.
