This is outrageous. Some people are robbing us of OUR piece of the net.

 

Seriously, though, there is gotta be some other way that the portal can make some cash rather than face-lift. What actually made this site more popular among other things, to me, was the fact that it is/was a forum, nothing but a forum. No clutter, no links. Just a forum. Somalia's answer to Google - clutter free. A simple, yet effective website and good for its purpose. I know this is simplistic to say, but have the Admins exhausted every other possible option, i.e. keeping the look and generate a bit of cash?

 

I'm a disappointed user. But I fully understand the need.

 

Admin doesnt need ur little opinion or that of others.

That is totally childish and inappropriate remark to make. We, the somali users, make this place what it is, and I am sure that Admin takes this serious. Think of it as business and its customers. If there wasn't such a wide participation of somalis around the world sharing their views of everything under the sun, Int'l media wouldn't have been looking at the site. So, think before you make a comment. Every one here is important.

so this is what i currently see.

 

 

Admin. the old page is for me a lot easier to

navigate on sight, but the new ones seem cleaner.

The links to the 'useful' rather than

business sites clutter it. And the middle bit

with the news, though useful takes all the focus.

 

I think this takes the appeal away from what your

good at and makes it more about what u link to.

And yes the old content doesnt change, but the

image drives how it evolves.

 

By all means re-design, and it looks good, but the

change in structure i think is too aggresive.

The light blue one matches with flag, instead of new red or the blank white currently in use.

 

And those who are suggesting the Admin. doesn't listen others' opinion, isn't this whole new facelift the result of suggestions on this forum? History, Postcast, Articles, Photo Albums and others were all suggested on this forum.
