Deeq A. Posted October 3, 2018 MOGADISHU (Caasimada Online) — Four masked men armed with pistols held up a busy restaurant at market in Somali capital Mogadishu. The men, whose faces covered with bandanas pointed their handguns (pistols) at dozens of people having lunch at busy restaurant in the country’s largest Bakara market in the capital of Mogadishu. The suspects reportedly robbed up to 30 people from all their money and smart-phones, according to a witness, who asked to be unnamed, because of reprisal attack on his life. He says four men, wearing Somali security uniforms armed with pistols robbed all people, who had been having lunch at the restaurant. The robbery cases has been rising in the capital for the past months, after country’s security ministry made security soldiers’ reshuffle. He told Caasimada Online that the suspects escaped from the scene. Somali police was unavailable to reach on the phone for comments on the latest robbery allegedly carried out by men wearing Somali security uniforms. Mogadishu capital has been witnessing series of assassinations against Somali soldiers, civil servants, and other senior government staff members as some of the attack were claimed by Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab group based in Somalia.
