Recommended Posts

PORTLAND, Maine - Pupils at a city middle school will be able to get birth control pills and patches at their student health center after the local school board approved the proposal Wednesday evening.

The plan, offered by city health officials, makes King Middle School the first middle school in Maine to make a full range of contraception available to students in grades 6 through 8, according to the state Department of Health and Human Services.

There are no national figures on how many middle schools, where most students range in age from 11 to 13, provide such services.

here.

This is just freakin retarded! Whats the life lesson here? It is OK to get your brains $#@! out becuase you'r on the pill.

Kids are desperate to be adults, this is not the way. It's appalling adults choose the easy way of handing out contraception to address the issue.

They can't distribute any religious text in school but condoms and pills are acceptable?

Only in the land of the free.

That's just negating parent's responsibilty. I don't see how dispensing contraceptive bills to pre-puberty kids is gonna solve anything. If anything, you are raising to be irresponsible.
