Two dead in bus attack in Kenya’s Garissa

NAIROBI (Caasimada Online) — Heavily armed suspected Al Shabaab militants carried out an ambush attack on bus heading to Garissa town, northeast of Kenya.

Friday’s attack happened in Hulugho, after gunmen thought to be Al Shabaab launched an ambush attack on bus, killing at least two people.

In Twitter feed, Daily Nation reported that the attackers immediately escaped from the crime scene before arrival of military officers.

Death toll could likely rise, according to sources.

The group carried our similar attacks targeting buses, quary workers and military and police forces’ vehicles in the region.

in 2011, Kenya has sent its forces into Somalia, to prevent orschestrated attacks and kidnappings against foreing aid workers and tourists allegedly carried out by Islamist group based in Somalia.

The group vowed to rump up its attacks in Kenyan soul untill Nairobi withdraws its military forces serving under African Union peacekeeping force from Somalia.
