Somalia to host Arab league’s council in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU (Caasimada Online) — Somalia announced on Friday it will host Arab Foreign Ministers’ next session in Somali capital Mogadishu.

The meeting of the League’s Council will be held early 2019 in Mogadishu, a major boost for Somali diplomacy, said in a memo obtained by Caasimada Online.

Somali Foreign Ministry’s Twitter feed said that Somalia would assume the chairmanship of Arab Foreign Ministers Council.

The move allows Somalia to host the next session of Arab Foreign Ministers Council set to take place early 2019 in the capital of Mogadishu.
