The hand over function was attended by Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed Farmajo. President has thanked Ugandan forces in Somalia for the brotherly “sacrifice and patriotism”, while being part of fighting against Al Shabaab. For his part, deputy AU envoy to Somalia, Simon Mulongo, said the handover of Mogadishu stadium is a major step in the process of AMISOM’s transitional plan.
