Very interesting. I don't think the FGS can easily undermine Puntland and its federalist agenda. Unlike the other maamul goboleedyo, Puntland predates the SFG and is too deeply rooted and strong to overthrow if that is what the centralist-minded folks in Mogadishu intend to do. If this sort of politics continue, we will probably see an isolated Puntland, a destroyed Jubbaland, non-existent Galmudug and Hirshabeele, an irrelevant Southwest, and FGS back to square one and in life-support. In other words, no one will emerge stronger from this struggle.

Farmaajo has decided to cut Galmudugs state money after Xaad refused to take the $450,000 bribe hush money that makes him effectively a stooge and a lap dog for Farmaajo, the politically battered Farmaajo then called and threatened Hirshabelle if they go to kismayo for the FEDERAL MEMBER STATES meeting to be held in Kismayo on Sept 3 to shore up support for embattled Madobe against farmaajo..........................................
