Aaliyyah Posted September 18, 2009 I was skimming thru bunch of links of Doha Qatar. Mashallah, it's a beautiful city wouldn't mind living there at some point in my life. But, I wanted to share this hilarious link I came across, subhanalah I can not believe people drive in such a disorganized street, there'r bound to be an accident of some sort. salaam
The Zack Posted September 18, 2009 That's crazy, I wouldn't drive there.
Abyan Posted September 18, 2009 Look at the minivan at 0.53, he just did a 360 turn. Waxaa iigu daran the pedestrians walking confident like there is a zebra crossing, naftoodee neceen kuwaas.
Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar Posted September 19, 2009 The video is kinda misleading, being fast-forwarded. In a normal way, that intersection wouldn't look that dangerous.

Blessed Posted September 19, 2009 Still dangerous though, see the commotion it caused a few times - can't fake that with fast forward. They drive like maniacs in the gulf waa inaad dimasho isu diyaarisid on certain roads.
Dhagax-Tuur Posted September 19, 2009 Crazy as it may seem, it's generally safer than being reliant on machines and not using your mind (I don't necessarily mean this particular junction). They've recently done a research in Holland where they've taken down the traffic lights at junction in a town (don't remember the town), there was less accidents and traffic flow has improved. So it is not always that traffic lights and being run by some system is good in driving. I have to admit though, most people in the Gulf drive a bit dangerously. I've seen a fellow, with my own eyes, driving whilst reading the Quran (the musxaf on the steering wheel). Though, I admired the act, I didn't like the carelessness much. But then again, whatever Allah wills, will be. No amount of care would spare anything or anybody.
Saddiiq Posted September 21, 2009 Thats what happens when you go from camels to cadillacs in 1 generation jokes aside, that would happen anywhere there is not proper law enforcement.
