Stalin Kruichev moment in EPSDP kililka party...

Recommended Posts

The most humiliating aspect was the meeting was done in the PM office in Addis Ababa. Not even in the kilil territory. This is first for any regional governing party in Ethiopia.

Kilil is still seen as unsafe, inconvenient, for the new Oromo coup.

Total focus for now is the fate of Dirdahba/Dirdawa.

1. Mohamed Rashid - speaker of Assembly and executive member of EPSDP expelled from party will stay as speaker

2. Abdi Jemal - Justice and attorney general member of ESPDP executive - Removed from Executive

3. Kedir Abdi - Director of PSDP office - removed from executive and his post

Removed from Central committee:

4. Beauro/minister of Education

5. Beauro/Minister of women's affairs

6. Efdir zone Administrator

7. Dirdahbo Administration chief of security

8. 5 CC memebers from ESPDP Dirdahba Branch all leadership of the Branch

This meeting took 3 days. Ahmed Shide stated the following in the meeting:

1. Criticized Abdi Iley for practicing dictatorial leadership in kililka

2. Leadership of the party has been and still is disseminate false information in social media

3. A website that had written that Shide is illegitimate to be chair of party has removed its article and front page

Why 11 CC members of EPSDP were all in Dirdhaba? Strategic importance.

Why 7 of them have been expelled from CC at once when Dirdahba is not even in Kililka

Why when other parties can only suspend until next congress, ESPDP accepted PM wishes to expell them.

This is so obvious all eyes are on Dirdhaba first. It was not unexpected by the Somali side, but the Oromo have practically sidelined Djibouti and kililka with one stone.

Dirdhaba is governed by a formulae:

40% Somali

40% Oromo

20% rest of Ethiopians mostly Amhara, Hareri, Gurage..etc

Dirdahba Administration Election should have been done last month, but was postponed by parliament federal by a year.

The Somali side is now on its own. Kililka support and Somali party activities dismantled

The formulae has not been changed to prevent the Amhara and Gurage from demanding proportional representation and allying with Somali. So much for democracy fake.

The problem for the Somali community is two fold:

As some Somali community side with Oromo there is no good unity

Cannot go for one man one vote. The Oromo will overwhelm from villages around. The Gurage and others might ally with Oromo being intimidated by Qero and Oromo and Federal government.

So what are you thinking? That Diridhaba is going to be annexed into Oromo kilil?

Looks almost completed unless Ghelleh can convince his folks to totally and without questions unite as Somalis and the Oromized Somali have change of heart thinking that the Oromo power may not last but what they choose will last longer.

There is no Somali power now that can intimidate the wishiwashis and can entice those after benefits.

Diradhaba is gone for sure. I was there ones. The Qat is the biggest problem for Somalis in that area, all the way to Jigjiga. Not only Oromo are immigrating to that area but also they are producing more children. The Ciisa has been the warrior tribe defending that area for long time but the qat and the French culture destroyed them.Diridhaba city has already Oromo majority. Abiya told the Oromo people that the whole east Africa belongs to them and Somali are very small people with big land in order to calm down and abodon their previous goal of independent Oromo.

Somali state needs to learn from NFD. They need culture change with new blood and invite somali business people. Diridhaba is nice place to live and do business.

The Ciise community has left Diri Dhaba long ago. Everyone is looking or connected to Djibouti you can chew Qar without working and the bad culture of Djibouti is affected the locals .  The largest Somali community in Dir Dhaba has always been the Gurgure who are stretched from Harar, Baabili to Dire Dhaba . In fact they were the original inhabitants of the city .

Bith the TPLF and Illey has isolated the region. The Train that used to trade goods from Djibouti to the region had stopped ten years ago due to disrepair and old system, and the new in mostly connecting Addis. The only business that was coming from Djibouti was TPLF connected transit trucks that pass the land. The small contraband used  by the locals were also destroyed.

Everyone either come to Jigjiga to beg Illey or joined theOromo Kilil to survive. I do believe that the new Somali leadership can revatelize the economy and settle more Somalis to Diredawa. The Somali nomads east of the city can trade and come back to city.

Thete was strategy from Illey and his clansmen to reduce the Somali territory to just to the Ogaden Hawd and those East of Jigjiga where Awdalitez live. He let go Baabili, Fayaan Biiro, Tulli, Jinacsani and others. These Somali Territories and their people including The Jasrso must be brought back.

It will be tough , but a Somali strategy could make Dir Dhaba a Somali majority within few years. More Somali services must be brought to the city, and Paved roads from Diri Dhaba to east all the way to the Somali birder could bring more people and more trade

Djibouti had killed Diri Dhaba and the likes of Ghelle won’t do anything.

The loss of this city started around 1985, but there was hope in 1991 that all Somali parties would quickly get together and save the area even if they cannot agree on anything else.

No unity was achieved. The Oromo put a claim by convincing those around the city to side with them. They were successful, but the Somali was also strong enough to fight against Oromo armed groups.

There would not be much support, but those who had guns like ONLF were ready to fight. Then the Oromo came with an offer of making the city federal. ONLF who did not have base there and the Somali parties that were based in the area did not want confrontation so all agreed.

Then 20 years later Iley came to power in kililka. He did fairly good job in putting up a fight. There has to be strong local support and there wasn't. Add to it the splinter among Somali and running to Addis which was minimum during Iley time, but not enough.

Next steps should be:

Ally with Amhara and others which should be easy to do. Especially now that the Oromo are now in power.

Then as galbeedi said resurrect the economy and get Djibouti help. Ban khat and change the battle lines.

I told you ministry education kililka is target..it is in deed ..minister was removed.
