Old_Observer Posted August 15, 2018 Latest pressure on SFG: 1. Request IGAD to propose the inclusion of Eritrea on AMISOM. Ethiopia will help. Ethiopia cannot do this initiation because of Djibouti. Kenya cannot do this because of agreements with Djibouti and friction with Eritrea. Sudan will not do it. Somalia has to agree to the list anyway even if all agree. 2. Request that UAE resolve the border issue between Eritrea and Djibouti. Failing this Somalia offer itself and UAE will nominate the person and finance the mission. 3. Create a Gobol in Somaliland that can have impact in Djibouti. Coded and not so coded. This will have double effect on Djibouti and Somaliland. Ethiopia will assist, splitting Kililka and empowering areas that can help in this project. The Afar are not willing to damage Djibouti to benefit Eritrea, but some Somalis are willing to do it. Old_Observer Posted August 15, 2018 Some Ethiopian politicians are openly proposing that Ethiopia and Eritrea do a land swap. Give Eritrea farm lands from Tigray and Eritrea give Assab to Ethiopia. Looks trial balloon, but Eritreans are not against it. If for nothing else this has effect of squeezing Tigray and making the people doubt their leaders. This of course can kill Djibouti in the long run with investment from UAE if they contnue like now as American envoy for HOA. The pipeline was another trial balloon which is not feasible. Che -Guevara Posted August 15, 2018 Like every other political initiative they have been involved, I have full confidence in UAE's inability to achieve their attended result.

I think they underestimated the link Ghelleh has established in Ethiopia. PM Abiy cannot undo it in less than 10 years. There is already friction UAE Saudi in Yemen. The competition in Washington between UAE and Saudi is now open and no holds barred. The Saudis have said or done nothing against Djibouti. Saudi have base in Djibouti (can't use it for Yemen and that is OK by them). On the other hand in Somalia UAE can do a lot of damage.
Xaaji Xunjuf Posted August 16, 2018 Excellent news The UAE is going to strip Failmaajo naked and his paper govt. Failmaajo tired to act like a big man when he sided with the qataris. UAE now has assab berbera and is using the tigrayan dictator of hamasien to be back in Mogadishu. Xaaji Xunjuf Posted August 16, 2018 Djibouti and Somaliland have absolutely no beef what's so ever you can enter djibouti with a Somaliland passport . Somaliland djibouti trade ties are enormous. Somaliland will not side with The xabashi dictator over Djibouti. Our current president Muse biixi is a djiboutian citizen. And so was his fathe BIixi cabdi who owned allot of shops in diibouti back in the 40s and 50s. Djibouti and Somaliland have special relationships people's relationship Djibouti govt might oppose Somaliland quest for statehood but as oodweyne they can't stop our cause either. It's good to help djibouti against failmaajo and the tigrayan mad man from xamasien ibn masiixi ibn ilma gaalo cross Djiboutians will thank us later. Old_Observer Posted August 16, 2018 8 hours ago, Oodweyne said: Old_Observer, I am not sure I am reading this correctly. But whatever it may mean from your end one thing I am sure of is that Somaliland will not be that gung-ho to go into the murky scheme of Eritrea and the UAE and their endless conspiracies against Djibouti. And that is not because we have a reason to believe that such conspiracies are bound to fail. Not at all. It just that we have no desire to be a "pawn" in this fight between the two sides. Not that Djibouti was ever averse to "hurt" our political interests throughout the years as it mightily have helped any outfit in Mogadishu, who in turn were claiming to be a "legitimate government" over the whole of the defunct Somali Republic of old (including very much that of Somaliland's territories). Which means, Djibouti's government was actively helping the avowed enemy of Somaliland. Moreover, although it's mightily tempting to "kick" her now that she is down, or to pay her back in "spades" of all of the politically adversarial acts it had committed against us throughput the years, but "disdainful circumspection" towards those who wish to harm her is the better part of valor (or a course of action) for Somaliland to take at the present-time. For there is no "honor" in helping to "tie-up" your brother for his enemies, even if he was rather scoundrel towards you in any previous time he have had the means to hurt you. And in that sense I am sure the UAE will bring lots of pressure on Somaliland to join-up with Eritrea to "harm" Djibouti, both explicitly and implicitly. But I think we should take a pass at it. Of course, we should do it in a way that shan't jeopardize our "budding" relationship with them at the moment. Hence, I am sure of it that there is a way to "skin" a cat of this kind, diplomatically, without us given up any political fortune to hostage down the line. That is noble. Ghelleh and Silanyo also acted noble on Yemen war. BTW that is one reason the Tigray are sidelined as well. Djibouti. Eritrea never seems to pass up anytime to serve anyone with power like Italy or Money like Arabs. PM Abiy is also on that train. I don't think the Amhara would have gone that far against Djibouti. Kililka has become collateral. Its on the road and it has oil and also became too powerful making Oromo envious.
Xaaji Xunjuf Posted August 16, 2018 Eritrea is a creation of Arabs Saudis Egyptians funded Shabia in order to weaken Ethiopian. Eritrea was Abyssinia but it had ottoman masters Arab masters Italians masters British masters amhara masters. The place has been controlled by every one. Their struggle was hijacked by the Christian dictator now all the Muslims jebha remnants are all inkassal and sudani cities. I think Djibouti and Somaliland have some sort of gentlemen agreement. If djibouti is attacked Somaliland will support Djibouti. If djibouti meets us half way. We will defend djibouti with out own soldiers Especially under mr biixi administration when biixi visited djibouti ismaciil Omar geele our son has visited us. I think ties our good I think if iog give us allot of concessions politically we will have better state to start relations then today.
Saalax Posted August 16, 2018 Somaliland region can't afford to misbehave with Djibouti one of those reasons is since it hosts a large number of businessmen hailing from Gabiley/West Hargeisa originally which can be kicked out in the blink of eye and their properties confiscated if they anger Djibouti (even Khadra Haid won't be able to safe them). So it is not as simple as you think.
Xaaji Xunjuf Posted August 16, 2018 Hargeysa gabiley merchants were in djibouti way before guleed abtidoon was born way before the French were in djibouti. The mamassan clique and the suberiya order jujuule ibrahiem dhere baxsanes father. Muse biixi father. When the mamassan djiboutian so called aristocrats today were milking cows in northern shinile the suberiya order wer importanting silk carpets honey building materials from Indian subcontinent and Persia and even Arabia this was the early 19 century. Ismaciil cumar geele only harassed 3 hargeysa multi millionaire Ina caydiid owner of Djibouti media company who constructed the orange building in New hargeysa and jamac omar who payed a fine of 30 million dollars to geele. And ilma geele Arab I can only think of these 3 but they are all djiboutian citizen and have rights ilma geele Arab was actually a bussines feud between khadra xayd and her husband who just wanted a big cut from ilma geele Arab. Because the late jamac maxamuud xayd former bank governor of Djibouti helped build geele Arab build his fortune in Djibouti so khadra xayd and her husband just wanted a cut that was all. I think hargeysa elders and bussines elites solved the feud. So mr salaax the reer hargeysa gabiley wajaale community are not foreigners in djibouti but Bonafide djiboutians meesha marti kumaaha. But they own a lion share of xeebta djibouti oo wa reer jabuuti.
galbeedi Posted August 16, 2018 If I were Farmaajo, I would kick out the do nothing, Ugali eating Africans who can’t venture outside at night in the dark. You have 5000 off them sitting in Stadio Mogadishu, another ten thousand or so are between Halane , the airport, and few bases in Shabelle were hey have aba ndoned back and forth since 2014. Why in the world do you keep 18,000 soldiers in Mogadishu?, There is no Al Shabaab army within Mogadishu that could take over the city military . All the African troops must leave city and take the fight outside. This has nothing to do with Djibouti, but Somalia trying to do things differently. Eritrea can join the Amisom group and replace Ethiopia, Uganda and Djibouti, and I am 100% sure the result will be much different. They are more Hungry and battle hardened than the Africans. There is already movement in villa Somalia, Qatar representatives Fahad Yasin is out of Villa Somalia, and the old military commanders were replaced. This is probably the last chance for Farmaajo to try different things. Despite the talk, things are sliding back to their old ways. Dr. Baadiyow who came from Mogadishu said that no matter who is in charge , the system is set up for failure. Now, let us address and refute the representative of the Hargeisa oligarchs in Djibouti Mr. Xaaji Xanjuf. Of course, there were IBRAHIM Dheere and other business people from Hargrisa who earned their money through legal means and the people of Djibouti know them and respect them. Those men and the old trading system are gone. They are replaced by banks, money laundering schemes and international oligarchs with no borders. The current crop of Hargrisa oligarchs in Djibouti are all corrupt thieves who are stealing millions of dollars from the poor people of Djibouti with help of Khadra Hayd , the greedy wife of Cumar Gheele. They own in Djibouti “ Waxii Dhaqaaqa “ and the people of Djibouti hate them like never before. Millions are borrowed from the Djibouti central bank that disappeared to Hargrisa.the former bank governor and brother of the Ghelle wife, Jana Hayd had invested millions with these guys, but suddenly he got sick and died in Nairobi hospital. During his last days at the hospital , an airplane full of oligarchs had landed in Nairobi to find ways to recover the millions of dollars guaranteed by the banker. Ina Geele Arab and the Cumar Geele family invested $30 million to set up a Coka Cola and water bottling company in Hargeisa, and these family and others with help of the wife had taken over the former businesses of Cabdiraxman Borreh , including running the port of Djibouti, American base services and all logistics for foreign armies in Djibouti. . This Ina Geele Arab , had suddenly left Djibouti in the middle of the night and disappeared to Hargeisa. Cumar Geele demand his return from the government of Hargeisa with no avail. The Hargrisa clan had been relocating and taking hard currency from Djibouti for the last few years. Everyone knows that they do not care about Djibouti, but since Djibouti is a financial hub and the base of many international banks , the Hargeisa oligarchs will stay there for now. There is a strong Djibouti opposition led by Dahir Ahmed Farah, and they should start maneuvering to replayGeele. The Hargeisa Habro want to keep the status quo and milk Djibouti as long as their in laws are controlling the money follow. Everyone in Djibouti knows that if change comes the first to be kicked out and stripped of the looted assets will be the West Hargeisa oligarchs. Gheele and his fam control the economic aspect of Djibouti the poltical and militaristic institutions of Djibouti there will be no opposition in djibouti the next few decades I think you are mistaken. If America or UAE paid 100 dollars each to 10,000 poor and put few galbeedis lol on the internet there you have a revolution. The nomad is out of the game. The nomad was good at war with arms. Now the system works with democracy human rights mass media and you are done. The longer one has been in power the more things you can find to slogan. Coruption is one, might have killed few opponents is another, might have defeated few business competitors is another... Look at Ukraine...look what is happening in Romania where the simple reason is a gold mine was taken from Soros.
Xaaji Xunjuf Posted August 16, 2018 Just shut down social media block fb instagram. As long geele feeds his clan his immediate supporters his business associates. Djibouti has different poltical culture than Somaliland. Somalilandeers afro hashemites are by nature mucaraad suspicious very outspoken critics. The Jesus clan has xeer Jesus the jesus book of law Which is their set of laws. As a djiboutian you should know this are you not Djiboutian or are you some sort of western diplomat in Djibouti mr observer. Djibouti is a Jesus mamassan kingdom Arab spring and western democracy won't work on them similar it didn't work on the xamasien dictator who was isolated for 20 years. He just constructed giants prison and just conscripted more in his sawa camp.
