Posted August 14, 2018 MOGADISHU, Somalia (Caasimada Online) – Two people have been killed and a soldier injured in roadside bomb explosion on Tuesday’s in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu, a witness said. The explosion targeted government soldiers on rickshaw near SOS cross-road in Somali capital, leaving two people, including a driver dead, a witness, Nour Mohamed said. Mohamed told Caasimada Online that the blast killed a soldier and a civilian man, and injured another soldier while heading to police station in the area. The injured soldier was taken into hospital for medical treatment, according to Mohamed. Somali security forces arrived at scene of the bomb explosion and launched an operation over the Tuesday’s attack. No group says it carried out the bomb attack. But, such attacks are often carried out by Al Qaeda inspired group of Al Shabaab, battling the weak-western backed government of Somalia. The group has also carried out similar attacks targeting hotels, government installations, restaurants and popular eateries in Somali capital Mogadishu, leaving dozens of people dead.
