Saalax Posted August 5, 2018 A lot of scaremongering. Somalis have always defeated Oromos in the past (they use to even live in southern Somalia (Jubbaland) as late as 19th century). Iley must go though he has too much blood in his hands. He is not the person to lead K5.
Xaaji Xunjuf Posted August 5, 2018 Ileey isn't the best representetive for Somalis he has years abused Somalis there whether in jamacdubad gaashaamo in wardheer in dhagaxbuur in xarshin in buhoodle jail ogaden torture .systematically killings he was doing the bidding for getechew an habasha general. Having said that we can never trust gallas they are our enemies two they want to landgrab Somalis remember the wars in mooyaale babile. Negeyle Marka what we want is autonomy for the state we want to protect the Somali resources in kilinka gas and oil. This should be our objective yaan xabashi xun masiixi ah ama qoti xuno gaala madow ah loo shaqeyn... they are one and the same

galbeedi Posted August 6, 2018 Over hundred non Somali ethnic victims are buried today in Jijiga. Most of them were shot Saturday by the Liyu police. Cabdi Illey went to the mass funeral and gave apologies. Tens of thousands mostly women and children had left Jijiga to the surrounding towns like Lafaciise all the way to Awbare and Wajaale.i did not report here but , over 80 people were liked in Jijiga for the first hour of the fighting . Since a third of the population is non Somali , expect more clashes even in Jijiga. There are credible reports that he may resign soon. Both his deputies and the parliament speaker might not replace him. After the clashes , they to the airwaves and called for war rather than calming the riots. If this despot stays another minute, things could get worse for both the Oromo and Somalis.
Che -Guevara Posted August 6, 2018 Oodweyne, The central government will try to impose its will on the Somali region, more than any other region. It's very lucrative region that's cut off from the rest of the country. If Ethiopia disintegrates, the Oromo will try to grab as many Somali territories as they can. Holac Posted August 6, 2018 Let us hope there is no more bloodshed and that Illey truly decided to go peacefully. Let us hope the new leader is not a puppet of the Oromos. The Somali region needs strong leadership to protect its people, territory and resources.
