Somaliland Opens Trade Office in Dubai

Somaliland ambassador to the UAE H.E Bashe Awil has revealed that the country relationship with the UAE is at all time high.

The envoy revealed this during a press conference he held in Dubai; these are his words “Even though Somaliland as a nation is having many challenges following the country lack of international recognition however this has not stopped Somaliland to engage with other countries. For instance many countries now trust Somaliland as a safe haven for investments and are putting their money in the country. The UAE is one of our closest allies in the region and amongst the biggest investors in Somaliland today.”

The dawning of a new era of Somaliland/UAE relationship following the opening of this new trade office in the Dubai the first of its kind Somaliland will have abroad and fully recognized as a government office that will handle investment, trade, political, security and humanitarian issues can be ironed out in this new office. The new office will be known as “Somaliland Trade Office” and will improve the cooperation between the two countries.

Somaliland vice president H.E Abdirahman Abdilahi Isasmael (Sayli’i) cut the ribbon to usher the country to a new era of prosperity.
