Naden Posted March 9, 2006 I think this is for show and tell, to appease the largely uninformed populace. The true intention of the invasion was to secure the oil fields for a number of years and replace the army bases that were dispered in Saudi Arabia and smaller gulf countries. Both goals were achieved. The Iraqis killing each other is simply an annoyance and they wish they could make the news media reporting on them go away.
