-Lily- Posted April 19, 2006 This isn't funny you guys. It's tragic. That woman should be teaching, shame on her for lowering herself so easily. Khat trade is creating famine in the Horn beacuse its more profitable to grow khat than crops.
Maf Kees Posted April 19, 2006 That woman should be teaching, shame on her for lowering herself so easily. What the .. The woman is trying to survive. She's forced to do this. How can she teach, if nobody can pay her allowance. Khat trade is creating famine in the Horn beacuse its more profitable to grow khat than crops. Boolshidh. Droughts cause famine in the Horn. -Lily- Posted April 19, 2006 Well we dont know her circumstance but it would help if she could still teach, there are pleanty of private educational establishments. Khat contributes to famine, do some research.
Maf Kees Posted April 19, 2006 Plenty, but not enough to employ every teacher in Somalia obviously. Khat plays a small role in this. Of all the agricultural land in the Horn, only a small percentage can grow Khat. Coffee yes, but not Khat. If you could grow Khat anywhere normal vegetables and fruit grows, every square inch of Somalia would be used to grow Khat. Haduu jaad Waajid saan u gaaray wax haray maleh. Hehehe. Aniga waxaanba la yaabanahay. Waajid haddeyba heerkaan gaarsiisan tahay, Burco oo kale ka waran. Hoogey!
facklexm Posted April 19, 2006 She could get a job as teacher; but she just knows she can earn more selling khat than teaching.
-Lily- Posted April 19, 2006 Yes well then shame on her. Khat is making generations of Somalis idle.

They import that shyt from Kenya and Ethiopia, which is even worst than growing.
