Somaliland: The Mayor to appear before the parliament to answer questions

HARGEISA–The House of Somaliland’s National Assembly on Monday session begins with MP’s debating on the women quota system in government representation and bill for the commercial banks in the country. Certain MP’s have gone against the two bills to be debated in the session.

A house member has also called on the parliament speaker to set a date for Hargeisa mayor to come before the parliament so that he will be grilled on the hygiene in the capital as there are a lot of garbage in the city which pose a health threat to its residents.

The house of elders have also said in their last session that the minister for finance and the foreign minister are dragging their feet to come before the house to face questions from the MP’s.
