Posted July 7, 2018 HARGEISA– The Vice President of Somaliland received in his office on Saturday a high level delegation from African Field Epidemiology Network “AFENET” headed by Mr. Dr.Simon Antera. The network is an association that brings together some members from the African continent which is aimed at combating communicable diseases. Somaliland has been included into AFENET and it will be the 31st country to become a member of the umbrella. Dr. Hasan Ismail Yusuf, Somaliland’s health minister has said that his ministry is spearheading a campaign to become a member of all regional associations formed in order to make progress in terms of health sector. VP has thanked the visiting delegation to Somaliland and its inclusion into AFENET. The VP has stressed that SL needs the assistance from their African counterparts.
