Queen Mary Somali Society proudly presents an event in conjunction with Al-Huda Mosque. We have invited a number of prominent speakers and hope you find time to attend this very important event. The speaker will each talk about different topics, including: Sweetness of Iman, Preparing for the hereafter, Importance of giving charity.

 

Al Huda Mosque on Mile End Road has embarked on a very ambitious project to redevelop the Mosque. Planning permission has been approved and the mosque has been looking to extend and improve its current facilities. This is also a fund raising event and on the night inshallah we plan to rise as money as possible, so please show your support.

Marc, Is the Mosque open these days? Ie has the renovation started? I remember looking at the proposed scheme back in 2003!

The mosque is still in operation but redevelopment will not start any time soon inshallah!

Yeah they had a lot of complications with the architect an stuff they were saying in ramadan but ia things back on track now.

Where exactly is the venue? I once was told about a Yasir Qadi lecture at Queen Mary, Only Allah ayaa loo sheegtaa waxa iga raaacey finding the place.

Its not far from Mile End tube station actually. Soon as you exit the station turn left and walk on until you cross the traffic lights. On your left there will be Bow Gardens and on your right there sits Queen Mary Uni. From there ask any QM raveller you spot around the campus .

There are many buildings from Whitechapel masjid to strafford, all calling themselves Queen Mary.
