I am determined to restart stalled talks with Somaliland, urges to end the hostilities in Tuka Raq- President Farmajo

MOGADISHU– The President of Somali Federal Govt has announced that his authority remains ready to restart the stalled talks with Somaliland. President Mohamed Abdilahi Farmajo has made the above remarks during a speech that he delivered in Mogadishu pertaining to Somalia which gained its Independence from Italy in the 1960’s.

Mr. Farmajo said that Somaliland citizens are our brothers where difficult ordeals divided us. The president has reiterated that his authority is determined to recommence the stalled dialogue with Somaliland as they are our right hand. On the other hand, Mr. Farmajo has called on the immediate of cessation of hostilities in Tuka Raq between Somaliland and Puntland and sent a clear message to both sides that Somalia is not ready to descend into chaos and shed blood.
