CDF Muhoozi Hosts Somali Counterpart Gen Hussein

Major General Abdweli Jama Hussein the commander of Somalia National Armed forces has paid a courtesy call on his Ugandan counterpart Gen David Muhoozi at UPDF Headquarters, Mbuya.

The Chief of Defence Forces, Gen David Muhoozi said that Uganda is fulfilling one of its security mandate to ensure regional peace and stability.

On the other hand, Gen Abdweli Jama thanked Uganda for the continued support to African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM).

He was grateful to the Uganda government for provision of capacity building towards Somali National Armed Forces.

The two Generals discussed issues to do with regional security and intelligence sharing.
The meeting was attended by the UPDF Joint Chief of Staff Maj Gen Joseph Musanyufu.
