and today Islamist insurgents attacked policemen manning a checkpoint in southern Mogadishu's KPP neighbourhood, triggering a heavy exchange of fire, they said. Angry residents dragged the body of one of the policemen through the streets after the fighting subsided, said Omar Ali, another witness

JB my question still stands. do any of the political parties have anything to gain from this redrawing of the map ? can it in any way benefit any group during the upcoming elections ?

^ The las time I was there ...... there was a masjid being built in the 'dumbuluq' area ....... i think they were running a little short on cash . so one day after Jumma ........ the imaam asked who wanted to take part in the building the masjid ..... giving your time and labour as charity ..... it was a great idea needless to say the masjid was built within record time.

^ I remember oday aan maalin masjid ku wada tukanay . salaada ka dib intuu istaagay buu yiri "gabadhayda nin ban u rabaa" he then proceeded to list her qualities and what kind of farah he was looking for he mentioned 'Qabil' was not a consideration for him within a few minutes he had 6 suitors. I dont know how applicable this is where you live

some of the posting in this section ..... you would think a man should be shot for even considering marrying a second wife. and ladies there is nothing wrong with a lady who willingly chooses to be #2,#3 or even #4 ......... she is not breaking up any families , does not have low self esteem etc. this might not be your preference but no need to go to this length to denounce such sisters.

Originally posted by Seekknowledge: I think they had chance to weed them out when they were in power and I'm sure all somali people regardless of qabil would have supported them but now how are they going to support them if they still have those bad apples there with the titles of Sheikhs? How are they going to differentiate between ICU and the TFG? What choice do ordinary people have when they are being killed by both sides and can recognize bad apples leading both sides? are you seriously comparing the ICU and the TFG  the TFG have absolutely no redeeming qualities I consider the warlords one step above the TFG.
-
^ I believe there are members of the ICU who are fully qualified as there are bad apples but the TFG has absolutely no redeeming qualities. After we deal with the xabash filth and their dabo dhilifs the bad apples should be weeded out and I agree only qualified people should make the rulings and carry out the punishment.

^ probably because it is not complete or even consistent any and all who are missed will feel slighted. after two decades sadly this is still enough to start a 'beef'
-
^ I acknowledge there are some shortcomings I never said they were angels .......... but they are the best choice considering all the BS governments we had to put up with the worst being the current dabo dhalif government. as to my personal opinion ..... absolutely yes without regard to qabil
-
^ They will be dealt with as soon as the occupation is over ....... just as traitors have been dealt with throughout history

...... people are getting more hostile these days ....... how has this topic suddenly turned into a anti-CL and pro-CL

you're masters are being slaughtered as i type this ....yesterday 26 xabash were killed and 38 injured and 20 dabo dhilif askar were killed and you resort to posting photoshoped images ..... shouldnt you be in mourning ? the pic is from the early days of the ICU ..... what you see there is capital punishment i.e 'An eye for an eye' the man being killed in the pic murdered the father of the boy carrying out the execution ...... by the same method the murder originally occurred .... but you probably believe that the U.S is the only government that has the right to carry out capital punishment. I will leave you to your mourning for now

and where is the mother in this narrative or is he the only hero of this story ?

^ I was in Ethiopia in jig-gija to be exact in '99 visiting some friends ..... the war between Ethiopia and Eritaria was going on at the time. young somali boys were being kidnapped and sent to the front lines of the conflict with the xabash at your back who shot anyone who didn't fight and move forward that wasn't shot by the eritarians. One night we were walking home and we both got arrested because he did not have his 'mustawaqa' (papers) with him ....... they let me go the next morning but my friends family and I were unable to find out anything about his whereabouts they kept giving us the run-around his mother went to every governmental office and did everything she could but no news of wether he was dead or alive for close to 2 years ...... and then one day he came back and he told the story of how he was taken from the cell that night and shipped off to the war where he fought for two years and was finally allowed to return ....... unfortunately this was not the case for many other young men kidnapped during those years. the xabash filth are getting their due now .... the brave young men who fight for the somali people will make them bleed

what a shame ......... tolow dadkaan maxaa isku saliday ........ it was better markay la dagaalmayeen dad kale

^ something I actually agree with. warlords have wreaked havoc on Somalia for far too long regardless which group or qabil he is with or represents we can never go back to the old ways. BUT we have a more pressing problem at hand ....... one such warlord A/Y has crossed the line even by the standards of warlords and has brought the xabash filth into our country .... that must be dealt with before any political considerations are taken into account. only after this goal is accomplished can peace and negotiations be talked about

Political appointees are resigning en mass... soldiers are defecting ... the threads that hold this corrupt enterprise together are slowly coming apart Guddoomiyihii laanta wajeer ee degmada waabari ee G/banaadir Muuse Xasan ayaa waxa uu sheegay in uu iska casilay jagadii uu ka haayay degmada waabari ee Gobolka Banaadir kagadaal markii ay la soo guboonaatay cabsi dhinaca nolosha ah. even if it was out of cowardice every defection , resignation counts soon they will be left with nothing

Insurgents launch a string of attacks on Ethiopian soldiers in Mogadishu, killing over 26 of the foreign forces trapped in mine fields. The insurgents attack on three vehicles of Ethiopian forces left at least 26 dead and 38 more injured, Press TV correspondent in Somalia reported. The resistance is gaining tactical advantage one after another the blows dealt to the xabash and their TFG slaves is getting deadlier soon .. very soon inshalaah they will not be able to withstand this onslaught the brave men who are fighting on our behalf deserve nothing but our support .... may they rid our country of the occupying filth.. Ameen
