@ "All the while Mr. Sharif Ahmed is still wrestling with proper table etiquette in the Sheraton Hotel of Ja'Booty." Kashafa .. sxb you have a great writing style. this shouldnt be a surprise to anyone .. the ICU accomplished in 6 short months what the tfg could not accomplish for years with the help of their masters (tigre) and the international communities. in defense of the tfg ... we shouldn't expect much from men who are lackeys and xabashi bootlickers and comparing them to brave young men is not fair .. we all know that they are not made of the same stuff.

^ I agree something doesnt smell right about this story. The hijacking on Sunday, 450 nautical miles (830 km) southeast of Mombasa , Kenya, was in an area far beyond the Gulf of Aden, where most of the attacks on shipping have taken place and where foreign navies have begun patrols. most of the hijackings if not all were on the north-east of somalia

DUBAI (Reuters) - Somali pirates have captured a fully laden Saudi supertanker far off east Africa, seizing the biggest vessel ever hijacked with a cargo of oil worth over $100 million in an attack that pushed world crude prices higher. The U.S. Fifth Fleet said the Sirius Star was being taken to the pirate haven of Eyl, in northern Somalia, on Monday. The hijacking of the Saudi Aramco-owned vessel on Sunday is certain to add to pressure for concerted international action to tackle the growing threat posed by pirates from anarchic Somalia to one of the world's busiest shipping routes. "This is unprecedented. It's the largest ship that we've seen pirated," said Lieutenant Nathan Christensen, a spokesman for the Fifth Fleet. "It's three times the size of an aircraft carrier." These guys are chewing off much more than they can handle .. why don't they just stop before. drastic measures are taken .. we already have enough problems. you gotta admire these men for their stones ..taking on a ship as big as an aircraft carrier  story

in order to get that big .. something else has to get much smaller (n im not talking about brains)... and the trade off is not worth it .. so no thanks

thanks for the info H. it is not a big deal that the long haul link is fiber .. as it makes the most sense.. but reading the article i assumed they were talking about 'last mile' fiber connections connections directly to homes/business. unlike developed countries who have already sunk billions of dollars into existing infrastructure (copper) .... it is mostly the those large telco's who hamper the efforts of installing last mile fiber .. because they are protecting their initial investement. back home there is nothing like that to worry about .. which is a great opportunity .. imagine something like GPON being installed in hargeisa or a national UPSR or BLSR ring network across the country ... getting the initial $$$ is the only problem i guess

hello trollers I am always amazed at the artwork on the inside of the mens bathroom stall at the uni. aside from the various ads and tel numbers for 'working girls' and the lifelike drawings of the female form ... there are some damn funny sketches on some ... had me laughing and this is in the faculty of engineering ... imagine what it must be like in the arts building.

and here is another application where google tracks the spread of the flu

^ the focus is a bit different in this application the breakthrough is not purely voice recognition ... using it to conduct a search based on content and offer alternatives depending on other parameters is the beauty. Users of the free application, which Apple is expected to make available as soon as Friday through its iTunes store, can place the phone to their ear and ask virtually any question, like “Where’s the nearest Starbucks?” or “How tall is Mount Everest?” The sound is converted to a digital file and sent to Google’s servers, which try to determine the words spoken and pass them along to the Google search engine. The search results, which may be displayed in just seconds on a fast wireless network, will at times include local information, taking advantage of iPhone features that let it determine its location. the breakthrough here is search engine optimization and the innovative approach of using existing technologies already available on the iphone such as location awareness to provide better search results. we are inching closer towards full "content search capability" .. I don't expect it to be tomorrow but these incremental advances will hopefully soon result in fully "content search" ability. currently everyone has become so used to search engines working the way do .. that the content is being tailored to the limitations of current technology instead of the other way around. now ... if you want your page or article to be easily searched you need to include 'tags' describing the contents of the page to make it easier for the search engine to index and search. here is another step towards the end goal in this thread the thread linked ^ here describes a search engine that uses 'natural language' to conduct the search .. now imagine marrying these two ideas. sorry for the rant ... SEO is an interest of mine

SAN FRANCISCO — Pushing ahead in the decades-long effort to get computers to understand human speech, Google researchers have added sophisticated voice recognition technology to the company’s search software for the Apple iPhone. Skip to next paragraph Enlarge This Image Peter DaSilva for The New York Times Google’s voice search software works only with iPhones, but the company plans to make it available to other phones. Enlarge This Image Peter DaSilva for The New York Times Vic Gundotra, right, and Gummi Hafsteinsson, of Google, with an iPhone running the voice search. The ability to recognize just about any phrase from any person has long been the supreme goal of artificial intelligence researchers looking for ways to make man-machine interactions more natural. Systems that can do this have recently started making their way into commercial products. This is currently only available for the iphone .. but probably will be wide spread soon story

^ You are falling for a not so clever three shell scam. I doubt a single person in this thread disagrees with reporting to the authorities on Rape,Murder etc. This thread is an extension of a debate that began in the politics section ... where there was a posting regarding some unscrupulous rats .. making up stories about people who were attending a masjid because of differences of politics on whats going on back home. if you guessed the xabashi bootlickers where the ones doing the jaajusnimo you guessed right !
