  1. Mashalaah she appears to be very intelligent but, that is not really programming, which would have been very impressive. it does appear she has some grasp of Boolean logic ... This little girl has potential.
  2. Maalin wanaagsan trollers. @ Che & Lily .. I heard that people were getting 'tours' of where these strange Exective creatures who stole their money lived. I would be afraid of such a mob .. marka la yaab ma leh
  3. ^ The last time I was there, they used to get Booyad ( no clue what its called in egnlish) to fill up from the wells in Dhamuug, and Camuud iyo balayga boodhe. they used to go around to the houses and fill .. Drums of water .. which is used for everything for the entire day. but i heard that plumbing is now running in parts of the city.
  4. ^ I have no prejudice towards muqdisho or any other city .. hadii ay cuqdud kugu jirto sxb and your hiding behind "Muqdisho society" that is your problem. I was giving my opinion on a statement you made, the topic at hand was muqdisho not any other city ... and yes I agree all places have been affected similarly since the war but that was not what was being discussed.
  5. ^ very true sxb. the city is unrecognizable to anyone who has last seen it before the war. it may have been mixed in the past .. but it is not like that today.
  6. Originally posted by Meiji: Che, There is no institutionalized clan entity in Mogadishu thank god. And ever since the days of civil war (1990s) neighbourhoods have become mixed, I strongly disagree sxb. There are very clear clan boundaries in terns if muqdisho neighborhoods. to name a few: Sh. Sharifs clan heavily populate the North part of the city areas such as Kaaraan, Yaqshid etc. and the very south part i.e parts of Madina which they live with another Qabil that heavily populates Madina. Xuseen jr. people live in a few different areas in the south of the city but well known, Qanyare's qabil live in the West of Xamar near dayniile airport. the only exception is areas of hodan very close to suuqa bakaaraha .. which is probably the only mixed area of the entire city. given what area of the city you live .. people can guess your Qabil with reasonable accuracy.
  7. I'm doing good@ Marx, indeed sxb we should ! adiguna ? We should protest ... lets enlist psst and Fahiima as well.
  8. I protest this post-countism going on SOL. I just dont have that much to say  EDIT I just realized that im above the 1K mark .. but still not senior .. I guess it is not a 1K post count then. I see Fahiima is in the same boat, perhaphs it is the 2K mark
  9. This is a disturbing story, but what is amazing to me is .. how did he keep a grown women and 7 children in the basement of his house where his family lived for 24 years .. and nobody supposedly found out. The mother and whoever else was living in that house .. should be prosecuted as well.
  10. Maalin wanaagsan trollers. Malika .. you make the place sound like paradise. inshalaah i'll retire there .. but inta ka horaysa ... meeshan inaan ka xamaalano ayaa na sugaysa !

  12. He has been confined to a wheelchair for 20 years. Now a paraplegic man is walking again, and his doctors call it a miracle. CBS13 went to Manteca to find out how a spider bite helped get him back on his feet. "I closed my eyes and then I was spinning like a flying saucer," explains David Blancarte. A motorcycle accident almost killed David 21 years ago. At the time he might have wished he was dead. "I asked my doctor, 'Sir what happened? I can't feel my legs'," said David. Ever since, David's been relying on his wheelchair to get around. Then the spider bite. A Brown Recluse sent him to the hospital, then to rehab for eight months. "I'm here for a spider bite. I didn't know I would end up walking," says David. A nurse noticed David's leg spasm and ran a test on him. "When they zapped my legs, I felt the current, I was like 'whoa' and I yelled," he says. He felt the current and the rush of a renewed sense of hope. "She says,'your nerves are alive. They're just asleep'," explained David. Five days later David was walking. "I was walking on the bar back and forth," he said. Now David is out of the hospital and on his feet and walking. David basks in his glory and gives a ray of hope to other hoping to walk again. The 48-year-old former boxer and dancer is taking it in stride, knowing his best days are still ahead. David's dream is to see his 14-year-old twin daughters grow up and get married so he can walk them down the aisle and have that first dance. Blancarte's dreams may have to wait. He was arrested Friday (3/13) on an outstanding warrant stemming from a domestic abuse case. sorry to disappoint no radio-activity involved .. infact the spider had nothing to do with his being able to walk again ... it just put him in the hospital where a nurse noticed that his nerves are alive. This guy had an interesting few days .. as soon as he was up .. they put him in jail for a domestic abuse charge from ~20 years ago.
  13. I'm Green Green 20 Blue 5 Gold 13 Orange 12 ------- isnt there supposed to be somewhere they tell you what these colors mean ?
  14. ^ There are a few holes in your argument. 1. Duke is the only 1 out of the top 5 posters who is dedicating to posting almost exclusively in politics section ... so they might be equal politics posting wise 2. Grouping somali politics into separatists and majority south is naive and simplistic (hint I am in neither group) 3. It is not the job of SOL to represent or shape the opinion of readers.
  15. In the M.E or Africa it would make sense, but with the amount of skin people see in the streets day in and day out, a hijaabfied xalimo does not attract alot of attention. Qawaananta has become so common, that you wont even blink markay kaa hor yimaadaan naagaha qaar .. when they are wearing almost nothing. This problem can be mitigated by applying a properly designed Xijaab system. extensive field tests have shown dramatically decreased amount of 'Leering'. Satisfaction guaranteed
  16. ^ For engineering. The best option is to do a PMP (Professional project management)certification. most engineering firms are project based organizations and are structured in the PMI way. once you reach a senior engineer level, you hit the ceiling of a subject matter expert, and going into the project management side is the only way up. and it pays $$$$ but it requires that you already have ~5 years of PM experience. technical certifications within your field, would be better for you if you are a recent grad with not alot of experience
  17. @ Cara your comment just put .. very unpleasant images in my head. hebel/heblaayo wuu guursaday ama waa la guursaday .. is a nice abstraction as opposed to the gritty details.
  18. Hello Trollers meesha ayaantan way cidlaadahay !
  19. @ NG have a good trip sxb. I used to torment my carab cousins when they came for a vist back home. later this year when i go back, I am expecting the same treatment.
