I remember this was such a shocking case. How do you come to court and stab someone 16 times while the whole court room watches? Ilay ha u nahariixsto miskeenada and it will be interesting to see what sentence they give to the murderer.

wouldn't necessarily call myself a "fatalist" either, will do anything within reason for the health of the baby etc or to change whatever specific events but at some level we do have to accept there are many things out of our control.

I don't think I would, if the child is born with a disease, that was its' fate, I could no more prevent it than I could fly. But dnt give yourself a headache thinking about things that might never happen.

It doesn't seem the most realiable method. Especially if the numbers are high. Seeker, why would you consider it?

BBC Question Time - BNP Leader Nick Griffith Beaten Up!

I am glad they let the man on, he was v. entertaining, although I wasn't any wiser at the end what he actually stood for. Although he was targetted by everyone as he was such a cheap shot, I dnt think this will necessarily encourage white ppl to vote for him. Far too much fuss made over this apperance on TV. -
this is one of those questions that ppl never tire of asking even though noone can ever give them a right answer. There is no "right" time to do anything. Get on with your life and see how things happen for YOU. (Hi sister CL )

^ lol. That poor sister, jst going about her business with her nice legs suddenly there's some bro she sees about, her own brother and the imam out of nowhere. hahaha. what would you do about this library event when it did not happen? Anyway, if you are serious about the girl, then make an effort and get to know her brother etc.

A young boy went up to his father and asked him, 'Dad, what is the difference between 'potentially' and 'realistically'?' The father thought for a moment, then answered, 'Go ask your mother if she would sleep with Brad Pitt for a million quid. Then ask your sister if she would sleep with Brad Pitt for a million quid, and then ask your brother if he'd sleep with Brad Pitt for a million quid. Come back and tell me what you learn from that.' So the boy went to his mother and asked, 'Would you sleep with Brad Pitt for a million quid?' The mother replied, 'Of course I would! We could really use that money to fix up the house and send you kids to a great University!' The boy then went to his sister and asked, 'Would you sleep with Brad Pitt for a million quid?' The girl replied, 'Oh my Gawd! I LOVE Brad Pitt I would sleep with him in a heartbeat, are you nuts?' The boy then went to his brother and asked, 'Would you sleep with Brad Pitt for a million quid?' 'Of course,' the brother replied. 'Do you know what a million quid would buy?' The boy pondered the answers for a few days and then went back to his dad. His father asked him, 'Did you find out the difference between 'potentially' and 'realistically'?' The boy replied, 'Yes, 'Potentially', you and I are sitting on three million quid. But 'realistically', we're living with two hookers and a poofter..

^ let and let live huh? And don't go to Soho on certain days and times. Marx, you won't be accountable for him so leave him be. And why is it that somali people always embarrass you? I remember a while ago, you were complaining somalis' women's hijabs are too bright! haha. Your going to be continously frustrated if you want every somali man and woman to live by your rules. -
*never mind* carry on.

Random thought, need to learn arabic so i can understand these nasheeds. ps. I am working on it, but going v. slowly. Given myself 2 years to have a crude understanding of the language, through classes, independent studying etc. Then I can sing along!

^ I remember it was on our uni reading list, along with all the professors own books  It was interesting talking about his life and the ideas he had but I wouldn't read it for fun! (although its v. short) How you finding it? Originally posted by *Salma*: I read it maybe on 2002, anyway the author used to live in KSA in the palace of royal family member in KSA... I guess it's a trilogy, I remember when ordered them from Amazon.com, they were blacklisted (banned) and not allowed to enter the UAE.. I was like  , is it gonna pass the cutoms department or not (anyway they would have destroyed it without informing me). But, now after seven years, you can find them in any bookshop... Anyway,,, I was fascinated about it at that time for the secrets and scandals revealed.. If you have extra time, read it,, if u have a busy daily schedule,,, go for a better novel . I think they must of read it and realised she will probably annoy most ppl with her poor little rich girl moaning rather than inspire some revolution amongst saudi women. Found the woman so annoying and moany, inside one of her 4 palaces, getting her feet massaged and bemoaning her terrible misfortune. Also some parts of it were not very believable although she says everything is true. If that wasn't terrible enough she insists on writing another 2 books. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Anyone read Coram Boy? One of my fav books of all time.

CL, there is such thing as charity, its called charity! I used to work for an islamic charity an ppl would donate thousands for the sake of Allah and to do good for others. Noone ever asked for a date or anything else in return for their gifts.
-
hahaha @ Johnny. Any xalimo would my friend. we dnt come with a price tag y'know. either the man wants to donate money or he doesn't why complicate things?
