salaams, Well there brother interesting question. I think 1stly it is within human nature to discuss all that is around you not just to limit our conversation or discussion to one particular issue. I mean I agree that we should be concerned about the state of Somali’s and discuss their situation how ever u need to understand that the world doesn’t evolve around us. As for the issue regarding why we discuss the Middle East is because we are Muslim’s and they are Muslim’s and as Muslim’s we should worry about a fellow Muslim brothers, for what effects them should effect us too. We discuss the western world because we live in it and hence can’t avoid that issue either. The rest of the countries we hear about in the news and in the tabloids so again we are exposed to them. Being able to discuss other issues is good for us, we then can see the state of the rest of the world and reflex on that. You never know we may even learn from it. I also have a question for you...if we were to waste our energy on Somali issues what would they be; politice? qaat? qaabil :rolleyes: ? I wonder

salaamz u guyz have a pretty sick sense of humour, i mean this is a true story and ppl were hurt. its sad 2 know that we a somali's still resort to violence when things dont seem to go our way. i know both women in this incident, Luul is a very nice women, and a bloody good hair dresser and farhia seemed like a nice person as well lakiin wa qof xanusan, i also blame the community coz i do know that ppl have given her a hard, maybe thats whats driven here 2 the edge. but the worsed part is that all over the wolrd we still got hate inside us, we seem to be 4getting that we r living as minoraties in the west, instead of sticking 2gether, we r stabbing each other. putting the stabbing issue aside we have an uprise in the amount of somali youth in juvinil detention and state prisons. subxanallah we all need 2 wake up and reflex on our selves. w.salam

G'Day mate i'm new around here (actually me 1st post really) must say i did get a bloody good laugh from ya lool. i'm not suprised at them question coz most folks dont know nothin' about australia, too bloody far 2 bother with really. how ever being an aussie me'self ("aussie" not ozzy) i'd like to invite u all down here to the land of kangaroos and find out 4 urself, just as soon as i get mr howard off the bench, i'll send u all visa's :cool: . u can sun bake on the beach with our friendly crocodiles, take walks with out kangaroo tour guides, and be entertained with our kookaburra comedians.
