I'm more optismistic now than before. That Somalia, might have turned a corner. The people are truly sick and tired of the constant bloodletting. A new government of some kind will emerge and that by default, we should lose the tag of a 'having no government'. Only by good governance and the rule of the law, will we ensure that Somalia will be strong enough to deter and defeat any foreign interloping in our affairs. It all depends on the good intentions of the TFG.

Somali_Friend. You may or may not know, my thoughts on the ICU. Ihave said here before what I think of them. But this is where my Somali patroit comes in. II don't want them to be defeated either. My views on the ICU is well known. Since they are carrying the torch of Somali nationalism, I would rather they not be defeated but that they don't win either. The best formula is for a face saving way to happen that will help both parties and bring them to the table. The ICU have to be hurt just enough for them to drop their arrogrance and taliban strategy and the TFG to tell the Ethiopians to leave, Somalia as soon as possible. I agree with you, Before they took on Ethiopia with bad language and arrogrant behaviour. They should have consilidated their power through the country. With Islamists, you have to be very clever. They have all kinds of tactics that are deisgned to deflate and comfound a reasonable person. One of the best is simply to ask him, are you Gaal? Thereby putting the onus of doubt on them. Another tactic of deflation is simply to doubt, whether that person is a patriot. So by default he is a traitor. All done to silence dissenting opinion in it's tracks. It is very clever tactics. The best defence a person can have is to develop a good opinion and articulate it the best way you can.
