I came across this article in this blog, I often visit. Basically it summons up 'Somaliland' as being the Kurds of Somalia. This greatly alarms me. The Kurds are not Arabs, they share neither culturally or ethnicity with 'southern' Iraqis, but people in the north are Somalis. I don't believe any of this and I'm sure people in the north do so as well. I know that the vast majority of them would like unity. How will religion make a country strong. There is NO muslim world, there is no muslim community. It is every man for himself. No one is going to help you simply because you are a 'fellow muslim'. When I was in university in the UK around 1997, living in student halls. I had Arabs and Pakistanis with beards, knocking on my door to see if they could speak with me. I knew what they were after. I closed the door on them. I would see them often knocking on the doors of other dark skinned students. My neighbor then was a Nigerian, and he let them in. But I later warned him. God knows, where I would be today, if I had fallen for their tricks. Of course, it is not me that they are after but what I can do for their them using my body. They are particularly after Somalis living in the west to this. We must be careful and let the elders know about them. Their 'brotherly love' it would seem doesn't extend more than seeing as Somalis as people they can use. I can only assume, that the absolute devotion Somalis show to religion, I don't know anything other people, who are like this. Surely not the Saudis, who man to man are the most deprave people in this world to how it dominates their lives to illiteracy. But we have to remember that Islam, will not put food on our table or make Somalia, rich and free from ignorance that comes from poverty and lack of education. We must be brutal about this and fact up to it.
