  1. I'm Somali, I'm not Jewish. My viewpoint is constanly from a nationalistic viewpoint. I strongly suspected Arafat was HIV positive, for a long time. Given his personal preferences, it the most likely cause of his death. The New York Times also alluded to the same view. See for youself in the internet it is all there. But this issue is not about him it is about his people. The whole prism of the Somali mentality revolves around sympathy and londing to be approved by the Arabs. To the point, where other Africans, now deny that we are black at all.
  2. Really who cares. They have had 70 years and look at them today. When the first jews came to 'Palestine' they sold them land and property. When even more came, they fled and lots went to Jordan. Really its getting boring. The palestinians have lost their chance and they should pack their bag and move to Jordan. Look at their dear old leader, Arafat, he died of aids in a hospital in Paris. It's finished. Now for Somalis. What lessons can we draw from them. What can we do that they should have done. Will we ever learn.
  3. He will be deported after he has served his time. They'll never allow him back again. If you create trouble over there, they want you out of the country any which way possible.
  4. Thank you for your advice, Xanthus. Blacks accept me as being black. They instinctlvely know that you are black, within a second of looking at you. I can tell the difference between a Korean and a Japanese. It is not diffucult to master this. If you are black in this world, you have to master this as you can tell easily who is friend or foe. Blacks, when they see me, always acknowledge me and nod in my direction. The problem is they can't tell whether im Somali or Ethiopian. This can be a problem, because they know very well, that Somalis, have been singing till high moon, thay they Arab and member of this shameful Arab league and claim they are not black. Italians think, I'm black american, when they see me. Which is ok with me, as it make my life that much easier! We should not have any dileema about who we are. It is clear.
  5. The article was written by a African-American journalist who went to Morocco to investigate the race problems there. Sadly as the article has shown. There is extreme hatred against blacks in Morocco. When I lived in Dubai, thankfully briefly, I was aware of the racial heirachy that is established there. If you are not white or arab, you are dirt and will treated as such. For them, they dont even try and hide it. What really gets to me, is when Somalis talk and talk about this ummah community, that is there to protect them and such. My god, don't we know we are black. We should be proud that we are. The black race has dignity and through that we can hold our head high anywhere in the world. Tomorrow, a black man could be president of America. It is only worth marching for and dying for, if the 'victims' are Arabs. Look at the Pakistanis, they have beome nothing more than the front and rear guard of the Arab race. Do we want to become like that. Don't have sympathy for them.
  6. That magic word -UNITY-. It is sweet to my ears.
  7. Oh please, save the tears. Ok. There are Somalis, today as you all know quite well. Who are under a tree without food or water. Why are we so concerned with Arabs? Why do we care about them so much. Give me a break.
  8. I don't think there is any other race out there, that is more hostile and full to the bream with hatred towards Black people. The are the Arabs. Please read the article from opendemocracy.net. It is a well respected group that campaigns for open society and humanism views around the world. Richard Dowden, who is head of the Royal African Society and has written brillantly on Somalia in recent years is a frequent contributor. http://www.opendemocracy.net/democracy_power/global_village/morocco_outside_in I quote a piece from it "We are perceived as dirty people who create problems, who make too much noise, most landlords refuse us as tenants and when they accept us, you feel that you aren't truly welcome", a Cameroonian student told TelQuel. I was only in Morocco for three weeks yet in addition to the TelQuel, I read another article about protesting sub-Saharan Africans. They marched in front of a government building with signs written in broken English demanding their protections under laws protecting refugees. When will people start to realise that the enemy are Arabs and we must counter them.
  9. Allamagan , I can't read Somali, though I speak it. I wrote my piece based on what, I could understand from the English title of what the poster wrote. Jacaylbaro, You raised very good points, again. The tfg must go and be replaced by a organic home grown solution. The political bloc that is being formed by Adan and Sharif, is the best hope.
  10. Very good news. This would solidfy the political bloc, that is forming as the PINR report said last week. and the Somali diaspora should fully get behind it. Very positive about this.
  11. I seriously, don't think, we will ever see a Palestinian state at least not in this generation. They have split and are eating each other, while the Israelis look on, with delight. The Israelis have simply been too clever and resourceful an enemy to have. Can you imagine, Somalis, being faced up against Israel, and lasting it out for 40 years. One Palestinian side will call itself Hamastan and the other Fatahland. Do you see any similarity here? Lessons must be learned for other people, who are struggling against occupation, in not to turn out like the Palestinians. What lessons, can we draw from their experiences. I think most importantly, we say definitely, the important of national unity. We must saw how create a narrative for the Somali state, while at the same time, forming a cohesive national convenant, that will bind us together when it matters.
  12. Watch a friend of the Somali people talking about Somalia, lately on the senate floor. I'm wondering, where is the worldwide so called 'ummah' when you need it. Seems to me their concern is only worth it if you are white or brown. But if you are black..... Not heard a word from any Arab or Muslim leader on what is happening in Somalia. Typical of them. You can watch his statement here- http://feingold.senate.gov/
  13. Why are Somalis always ready to put down everything. If they create a airline, that would be a tremoundous progress. Just look at the location, the centre of the world. Between east and west and with Africa as a backdoor. They can fill the seats, just by focusing on the transit business. Hargeisya airport is small and efficent. A little more development and a airline that gains a reputation for excellent service and that is it. You done it.
  14. Really the news is terrible. The blacks there are beginning more and more xenophohic about foreigners. Even though, it has been largely the Whites there that have somewhat developed the country. When I was in Johannesburg, in 2005, I didn't detect any hostility from anyone. But that maybe because I stayed in the rich northern surburbs of the city. (ie. White). On the whole, the people are overwhelmingly friendly and there was a good atmosphere about. In most parts, the country looks like somewhere in Northern Europe or America rather than in Africa. The weather was equally cold to suit. The thing is they are getting frustrated with immigrants puring in, so they hate everyone equally, but its dfifficult to tell from them- where one is from, just by looking. Somalis, clearly stand out and that why, I suppose this is happening.
  15. Dear Sophist, I'm very saddened to hear this news of your father passing away. Wish you and your family continous strenght in these times. May he rest in peace.
  16. Jacaylbaro, please lets not go into petty fights and diversions, when we have bigger battles to fight. Sadly, i'm not the only one who cant read Somali. I know many others who can't. The longer the state exits moriband, the bigger the numbers increase. You work it out.
  17. Doesn't count. They done it on purpose. A thug regime.
  18. Originally posted by Geel_Jire12: @M.M.I, people who are traitors to their own people are usually discarded by the people that use them. The Tartars used a Shia leader to capture Baghdad and decieve the Caliph. When they arrived at Baghdad they killed the Shia because they " couldn't trust a man who betrayed his own leader". Simlarly the Muslims in Spain turned into competing fiefdoms, thus the Christian forces turned them against one another. In the end eliminating them one by one. Ironically, the last Muslim ruler to remain was Boabdil, who worked with the Christians forces in fighting "rebellious" Muslims and paid tribute to them. When he was besieged and expelled, he started to weep for his lost Kingdom and his Hooyo uttered these famous words: "You do well," , "to weep like a woman for what you could not defend like a man." So the moral of the story is "unity is strength" and " stooges will always get discarded". You made very points as usual Geel_Jire12. What I'm interested in is why this stench of weakness on the part of Muslims in history? Leader after leader is corrupted and owned by someone else. What is in the pscholcoy of the brain of the Muslim, that will traitor his own people. I remember when I was in London, in my local library, i read a book, by a Iraqi man. He wrote he fled to London, and from there he went to the Israeli embassy where he asked the military attache if he could be of any help to Israel. He wrote about how he was recruited and what they made him do. It is a stench. If you go to Palestine, the corpse of that still 'nation' is full to brimming by collaborators to Israel, who would sell their own mother, for a favour -here or there. I'm trying to understand, what is in the mind of these people and why is it so frequent in our midst. Source Link-http://www.amazon.com/Circle-Fear-Life-Israeli-Iraqi/dp/0028810996
  19. I would guess very likely, they have already people on shore to carry this out for them. Or whom would at the least direct the planes or bombs to where it needs to go. What Aweyes doing over there. Does he have a deathwish, his face is known, they could offer a bounty to anyone in the country, to backstab him and by dawn he is in gitmo, why is he exposing himself. The fight should be led by faceless warriors, who can hit and run. Do Somalis ever use their brains? The country is a complete freefall, for anybody to do as they wish.

Peace, are you Somali by any means? Yes I'm Somali. My first name is Sahardid and im working in Milan. Lets try to take any personal factors out of this. And argue purely on the facts infront of us. As for those who say, what is my religion. I would say, that religion is for you and for you only. One of the things that ha made the Arabs stuck is that they are based on a shame based society. Have you noticed that all the societies that have developed, display none of these charaterisctics? We have to move beyond that and deal with the real core issues. That is what I can say on that matter.

  22. My views are well known. I'm a free-market libertation, who believes in small government. I don't believe religion and government should mix, but I understand the pious nature of Somalis and would be comfortable with a nominal difference to Islam in the state, but nothing more than that. I believe that the people are capable of unity but are being robbed of the chance by charlatans. I believe that Somalia should leave the Arab Union, and adopt a defensive and pragmatic foreign policy that is based soley on the national interest. Building alliances that based on trade. Looking eastwards to Asia for insipration. I would favour a defence and security agreement with India anchoring a common Indian Ocean foreign policy. A lot needs to be done. I want the Somali West back. But I'm realistic too, we need to sit down and create a very clever strategy that is anchored on a bullet proof policy to achieve this land back. Similar to what Israel says. ''I'm willing to make peace, but first you have to put down your weapons and acknowledge that I exist''. That is a clever policy and it has stood well. Similar tactics need to be developed whole scale in how we interact in a god foresaken part of the world. It is a great source of shame and turmoil for me to see ethiopians in my country. I'm willing to make alliances with the ICU in the course of unity to achieve a common aim against a common foe. Knowing fully well, they may not share all of my political beliefs. The greater evil is the Ethiopians and not a bunch of Somalis with extreme religious views that though I don't share, I acknowledge and respect that they have the better interests of the common man at heart. The cause is just. In the West, I would be probably be though of as a tree hugging bleeding heart. But in Somalia in these times, that is no great shame.
  23. Originally posted by Gordon Gekko: ^^ That shouldnt come from an ICU supporter. Surprises me somethimes how your political views sound so diametrically different from the ones you support. Personally, I do support death penalty. You don't know anything about my views, so don't comment on it untill you do. Is your head tilted a little further from the ground today, now that your master has come to see you?
  24. Shame and shame is being befalled us. Like never before. It is ghastly and encompassing. I think only the Palestinians have a fate worse than Somalis. But they at least dont have a land, where-else Somalis do, but have offered it hand and foot to the Ethiopians. Cursed and shamed. I can't see a way out of this. I really can't.
