I believe strongly in the concept of 'Rule of Law'. Now having said that, I'm realistic, this is Somalis we are talking about. The majority are not even educated.
In principle it means no one is above the law. That my relation to you and the state should therefore be governed by it. The rule of law has never been established in Somalia.
Do you believe in the concept? Would you like to see it applied to Somalia?

Certainly UAE/Qatar are by any measure certainly not islamist states, you are confusing state and religion as being one again, as you do. These two countries have made a pact to their people that essentially says, we are the rulers, but in the process we will take care of your every need. It helps that they have lots of oil. Singapore takes the same approach. Give us power and we will ensure we will take care of you in a highly efficent state.
Now that kind of rule, I can stand. There is sembalance of the rule of law in all these situations.
Now what i'm referring to is the long bearded, crooked nose so called islamists who wish to take all of us back to the stone ages. Now I hate the TFg more than anyone, but cleasing Somalia of these kinds of 'religious' people with one eye to counting dollars as they preach to you, is to me no matter how cruel, what must be done.
one thing i can't stand is hypocrisy, people who preach and then do something else. Modern states say essentially, humans are cruel and humans are imperfect. Now that we know these two facts, how can we get along. Simple really. Everyone follows the ......RULE OF LAW.

This should really be a lesson to those of us on here that have been saying for a long time, that religion and politics does not mix. That Islamism is a fundamental threat to the development and well being of everyone and a threat that must be defeated.

They're a small province, small 'countries' tend to do very well. But I can't see that happening in SL. I mean are they interested in embracing globalisation? There is so much they can do, for example, like creating a basic law, making the system efficent and nimble. Creating websites that gives this information to stakeholders. What's the fiscal managment like in the economy? For example. If small places like Georgia or Estonia can do 9% growth a year on average, no reason for SL by now not too.
Though one would think they would be investing in the building blocks of growth, like the roads, infrastructure, upgrading the main airport, etc, Any updates.

New poll shows him leading in Iowa for the first time. Is this the breakthrough that everyone was hoping for. If he wins in Iowa, that gives him the momentum to grab the early races and secure the nomination. I tihnk he can just about do it.

Hopefull now the management at the airline can in someways, leverage the greater balance sheet of Dubai World and negogiate for better planes with the makers. The credit line has definently notched up a few grades for them. Good deal.

Well the Qu'ran forbids many things. Many things which you yourself has no doubt broken today, last week or the past month.
It also speaks, and I may recall, that in someway, you could take it that the Earth as we know it today is flat and not round. There are some passages I believe which disprove the proved curve theory.
There many millions of gays in the Muslim World. Many thousands and thousands gay Somalis. Deal with it.
If you argue against homosexuality, you would need better arguments than that, as overtime it will not hold up. And especially when you embrass yourself by calling for someone to be killed or burned.
When the simplest and most effective counter, and whch i throw at you is that. You are imperfect, so are they. So let them be, leave them to be and live your own life. Everyone will be judged in time.

We need a entire new generation of the best public policy makers the world can throw out. Then pay them hefty salaries to properly motivate them. Ensuring they perform and keep their hands of the 'tills'.

Somalis are certainly not a patriotic people. It's not a strong feeling inside them. Now the Turks, these have got to be the most patriotic people I have ever seen.
Generally, a people are more patriotic, the more wealthy a country is. When you reach a certain level of development, the flag comes out. So Puntlanders maybe be 'relative' to Somalis. But all in all. No.

A brave Somali women who spoke up against islamist thugs was setp upon by 5 men in a street in Oslo, Norway and beaten up.
What Islamists would do to keep shut brave who speak up against this brutal clique never amazes me. Happy to see more and more Somalis openly question, what this arab consipred system and the havoc it has caused the Somali people.
