I'm always serious. You don't have to agree with my opinion, but thats probably how people feel in that part of the world. Also, a girl doesn't pass on your family/tribal name, so she isn't as useful in that sense either. That's the mentality of the people there, and i happen to agree with it.

I can't really blame them, in that part of the world, girls are nothing more than a drain to your resources and wealth. In islam a father is obligated to take care of he's daughters if he cannot give her away to a man for her to marry. So if the daughters happen to be ugly and cannot be givin away, you are basically stuck with her and must feed and shelter her forever since most of them don't/can't work. The best slaves are jareers, african san blaaran were made for slavery. They can handle it, especially good at working in farms. A mothers purpose in life is to raise her children and take care of the home, if her home is dirty and not taken care she will be blamed. By that same token, if her children turn out to be failure she will get majority of the blame because it's her duty to raise them right. A father's purpose is to provide, if he does not do this, he also get some of the blame. But it's the mother that has the greatest amount of influence on her children, she alone can counteract the influences of MTV, jareer music and other bad influences. Very simple.

Islam does not encourage pan africanism, nationalism or any other movement besides islamic movement. "He is not one us who calls for `Asabiyyah, (nationalism/tribalism) or who fights for `Asabiyyah or who dies for `Asabiyyah." How do you reconcile being a muslim and a being pro pan africanism or what ever african nonsense philosophy you believe in? You have to give up one or the other, the two cannot go hand in hand.

The problem with somali's is too much pride, a sense of superiority is a good thing but not when it hinders you from cooperating and working with your people. What's is this nonsense african philosophy you are talking about? You are muslim, and islam is the only philosophy a muslim should be embracing. Not some fake sense of african unity. Somali culture is closer to carab culture than 'african' culture. Africa is a beautiful and majestic continent, unfortunately the inhabitants are weak minded. Africans have no sense of intellectual curiosity, no sense of cooperation, no intellect and only seek to live a simple life. That's why they have been enslaved and colonized and still to this day cannot get their act together. They are incapable of seeing the big picture, of letting go of their ethnic differences to make something of their nations and people. They make it easy for europeans to divide them, control them and loot their resources, and frankly they deserve it for allowing it.

I meant I don't agree with all somali mothers being bad but there are some. There is no contradiction there, if you are not a bad mother then there is no need for you to get angry. And asking people is not the way to determine if someone has a bad mother, but rather by looking at how they turned out. If you're kids turn out to be drug addicts, gangsters etc then I can safely conclude you're a bad mother.
