  8. Somalina: Gotcha you. XX: You know pretty well the paradigm of politics of the city as NASSIR put it eloquently. Your bias and unsubstantiated reasoning is that Ilka Jiir who is an indigenous of Erigavo can not visit there but Dr. Gaboose who is Is-ak but from Hargeisa can visit there. Siilanyo and SNM government can not alter the dynamics of Erigavo. Why loo fulin waayey in reer Khaatumo hubka laga qaado markii Siilaanyo sidaa sheegay laba bilood ka hor?
  9. 1- Having someone's flag in a town doesn't legitimize that they are their rightful owners. 2- With regards to the Somali flag in Erigavo; it isn't a secret thing however, I don't have any pics now but I'm sure other nomads can post. Maxaad isu yeelyeeshaa you know well in Erigavo is a contested and shared city.

Go to south of Erigavo and see what flag flies there. Both Somali and "SL" flags are there in Erigavo. Recall what happened there 2 months ago when SL lost 16 men and Khatumo lost 14 ....Siilaanyo ordered that Khatumo militia be disarmed the local elders interfered by knowing well the consequences. In the case of LA, it is a failure of Khatumo community to watch their city being abused for such a long time. Somalina, are u promoting/supporting the occupation of LA?
  11. Erigavo is a replica of Galkaio.... Three subclans share the city.

  13. A naive observation indeed. The majority of Sanaag region including eastern Erigavo goes to Maakhir State. From South Sanaag including south Erigavo all the way to Ayn and Sool goes to Khaatumo state and western Sanaag goes to "Somaliland". It is true that LA is an occupied and oppressed city. How long is SL capable of displacing, jailing and abusing Las Anoders is anyone's guess.and remains to be seen.
  14. A rejoinder to Muktar M. Omer’s “Ilyas Barre Shiil: Open Mouth, Closed Mind” By Nuradin Jilani Feb 14, 2012 In his recent thoughtful article Mukhtar M. Omer touched on many things that are of critical importance to the continuation of the struggle for freedom in ******, currently spearheaded by the ONLF. But before I begun discussing the contents of article let me begin by stating my views about its author. Mr. Omer is a thinker whose ideas and take on contemporary issues concerning our region have captivated me ever-since I came across his musings. He is an earnest intellectual who is not afraid to tackle controversial issues - what Chinua Achebe once called ‘the burning issues of the day’. And although we both share a passion to free our people from Ethiopian colonialism, I tend to disagree with him on how to do it. Having said that, some of the remarks he made recently about the struggle and the wrong aspersions he casted on the ONLF – ironically, as he defended them in the same breath! - are uncalled for. I cannot judge whether this the result of misinformation fed to him, lack of objective reasoning on that particular topic, or deliberate intent to cause damage to the struggle. Nevertheless, let me register my objection to the sections of the article I have issue with. Read more: http://wardheernews.com/Articles%202012/Feb/14_rejoinder_ilyas_barre_nuradin.html
