  1. Mr. Red Sea, Indeed Abdullahi Yusuf has his unpardonable shortcomings but I assumed that we were not doing any comparison between the two.
  2. Faysal Ali Warabe and his Hate Message Comes to Washington DC WardheerNews Editorial September 08, 2006 "Mar haddaanay diintii Alle iyo Xaqu dabbaalaynin Ama aan xishood lagu dugsado Loogu dudahaynin Maxaa Faysal dabar joojiyana Loogu dayi waayey?"(1) In a recent interview the leader of the third party (UCID) Faysal Ali Waraabe gave to a Somali website in Hargeysa, he had shocked the unshakable Somalis with his most vitriolic hate-laden comment against Somalis who hail from the Mudug Region of Somalia. When asked his concerns about the advancing Islamic Courts Council (ICC), which had steadfastly defeated this past June the U.S. surrogate warlords and their rag-tag militia of “the alliance against terrorism,†he bluntly unleashed his puritan clannish chauvinism. the full article
  3. The militia of Hargeisa administration which is occupying some parts of Sool has neither legal ground nor monolithic benefit to them therefore it should be dealt with one way or another on due course. However, let us hope that they avoid splitting more blood in the area and come to their sense before it is too late.
  4. Yussuf Garaad’s Abuse of the BBC Somali Service Mohamoud Hassan September 12, 2006 Much has been written over the past years about the demise of the objectivity and impartiality of the programmes of the BBC Somali Service since Yussuf Garaad was appointed its editor in the late 1990s. It was the hope of all those concerned about the decline of standards that the BBC management at Bush House would eventually heed their concerns and complaints and do something to restore the credibility of the Service. Sadly, Yussuf Garaad’s bosses at the BBC had instead chosen to turn a deaf ear to all that Full article

  7. Dear Mr. Gediid, I am not asking for a monolithic unification, the unification should be home-grown period. Only what bothers me is when some try to exercise beyond the domain of their influence, not only is a fruitless effort but misguidance.

  10. Where in my text did I deny the animosity between the two nations?. The bitter history of the two speaks itself and it is something that the blind can see and the deaf can hear so get used to it.
  11. This piece is compiled by the Ethiopia’s foreign affairs however it should not be understood as a clear-cut of their position regarding Somali State. Remember this is a politik business after all. Moreover, it can be derived from this note that Ethiopians do realize some what, the disintegration of Somalia will back fire and not serve on her interest. Simply put it, a balance and check of their claims are of the essence. An excerpt of the article "On the other hand, the disintegration of Somalia has in itself brought ever-growing danger. The crisis in Somalia has allowed religious extremism to take hold. Somalia has become a haven and conduit for terrorists and extremists. Anti-peace elements are using the country as a base and place of transit in order to threaten Ethiopia's peace. Somalia's disintegration has brought danger to the peace in our country." The full version of the article is on wardheernews .
  12. It is objective HA, but give it a closer look at the latter pars.
  13. Frankly, this article carries cursory and inaccurate history of the protectorate and its current status. It doesn't show any substance except regurgitating the same theme for secessionists' claims. At the start, you would think the article makes some sense in terms of Somalia's unitary statehood, but it descends into the murky ideas and propaganda of the few secessionists in the North West of Somalia. It was on New York times. Today, NY times carries another article of Somalia on the Islamic courts

Dear Mr. Oodweyne, The redundancies, repetitiveness, recitations and rehearsal of clanistic lyrics fall short, very big time, of being a catalyst in your obscure cause. Furthermore, you neither have the power to alter nor shape the reality of the ground. Singing in a vacuum is permissible at SOL site therefore continue enjoying with your civil liberties. Gabal dhiciyo waa; Gaashaan biriyo Gaadh dablaan ahaan; adna Goorkastaba calan Guul helo; waxaad ahaan Gayiga Guudkiisa sudhan Very rich words indeed but misplaced!
  15. Thanks Maakhir, the in-depth analysis and the message of the piece was so strong and indispensable argument, in my opinion it comes down to into one thing, will the secessionist ever discover what is theirs and what is not?.
  16. Dear Mr. Maakhir, First of all, thanks for sharing with us the Somaliland’s assessment given by this prolific writer Mr. Hirad. Before I go further, I am compelled to remind all SOL nomads, of course including me, that golden rules are still out there to be reciprocated. In his reading ““The “SOMALILAND†MYTHOLOGY INDICTED†Mr. Hirad critiqued the notion of Somaliland, its legality, morality, feasibility and then displayed the necessity of collaborating all concerned parties, be that may the Transitional Federal Government or other northerners who are not from Hargeisa, if Somaliland’s leadership is inclined achieving any sort of mutual benefit, in reference this author has eloquently put to the surface the ill-intentions of some outstanding, foreign academics who stepped out from their relevant duties, and revealed their true colors, to misinform the international community with their biased, fabricated, twisted reports and papers, some of them being but are not limited to Prof. Lewis, Prof. Jhazbhay. Let it be reminded in this time and age, where information travels in nanoseconds around the world, every individual is entitled to his/her opinion but what matters is the substance or the essence of any message uttered by the professors, will it change anything regarding the reality on the ground?, how long will the intellectual insult of their audience continue?, as evident GOOGLING would be suffice for any reader to figure out which region of the north supports what, will appeasing the secessionists in Hargeisa bridge the gap of mistrust among Somalis?, these above and many more questions must be addressed before having any viable debates concerning Somaliland recognition and the author said “let us call a spade a spadeâ€, meaning that, it shall be defined who really the Somaliland entity represents. Short of that, our debates and critiques will remain in futile and unproductive.
  17. Dear Buddies, The piece in which I am about to hyperlink here is superbly written, Mr. Dholey has delved into the concept of dismembering Somali State, its legality, morality, feasibility, benefits, and drawbacks have been critiqued. Without averting your attention the problem at hand, you may read the whole article the below link. A Response to Bryden and Iqbal on Somaliland’s case.

  20. Dear Mr. Caamir, The heydays of ONLF are numbered, and it is them who really need to spearhead this endeavor.
  21. Mr. Duca Qabe I think these narrow minded people are not on the right side of history and the sooner they figure it out the better of they are
  22. Hello Folks, This piece of editorial is in both a good initiative and a start of long overdue expected endeavor from the Somalis who dwell in Ethiopia, it analyzes the feasibility of a new approach to the alarming, never-ending, deteriorating situation of the Somali State in Ethiopia. Inspiring Elders and the Irrelevance of ONLF WardheerNews Editorial April 11, 2006 Seeing the pictures and reading the headlines about the visit of the elders of the Somali National State, Ethiopia, to London, England, was all the more inspiring and uplifting. For those who did not follow the not-so short history of how the elders came to this point, the news sounded too good to be true, and could have passed as April Fools’ Day jock. But it was not! 23. Adeer waxaa iga yaabiyey  This is the way I see it Mr. Xiinfaniin, the problem of Majiyahan has been talked about it quite a lot on the media lately so if someone like you, all of a sudden, emerges from the masses and inquires to be briefed about the situation, and another dude responds to you comically is not only beside the point but it adds insult to the injury.
