I don't see the big fuss with wearing a piece of clothing to 'cover' one self up. Wearing hijab should be a choice-not an act which should be forced upon a Muslim women. I feel happy I suppose for you- you at least did something *YOU*wanted to do out of your own free will-as you said- and choice however not many musim women who wear the hijab feel like they are wearing it because they want to e.g. Afhanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Saudi and several 'Islamic' states. its nice to do something out of ur own free will. Depends. If for example you choice to wear hijab then ofcourse everyone will praise you for your action however that is because you fulfilled the image of what they want to see in a Muslim women. However were you NOT to wear then you get riducled and criticed because you lack, in their eyes, a piece of clothing they consider is of significant to Islam. How does a Muslim women-from any culture/race- become less of a muslim then the one who wears the hijab. Is Islam valued on a piece of material? What happend to the deen? The actual believe? If wearing hijab was of importance wouldn't it have been the first pillar or at least mentioned in the 5 pillars?

Israel and the Palestinians

NGONGE You asked this question ten years too late, my friend. Part of the Oslo agreement of 1993 was the fact that the PLO recognised the state of Israel and that state recognised the PLO. Are you saying that a co-existance between Israel and Palestinians is impracticable and 'too late'? The Oslo Agreement stated that the state of Israel should completely withdraw ALL, not redeploy, Israeli forces from the territories it occupied in 1967. Has it been done? The Oslo Agreement was an pact written out by the US and the Israeli government, back then, to surpress the Palestininians in *thinking* they would have a state of their if they could dismantel Palestinian militant organizations. How many people know the difference between the two? How many people regard all Jews as Zionists, etc? Good question however one can be anti-semtic but pro-zionist and vice versa. Would such a person be a facits/racist/terrorist or other? And what defines h/her to be named such? Thanks for your replay btw! Zephyrine As I understand it, one term refers to hostility towards (the existence of?) the State of Israel and therefore has political connotations, while the other refers to prejudice against Jews as an ethnic and religious group (racism). Therefore one is confined to Israel while the other applies to all jews across the board. Also, as NGONGE alluded, not all Jews are Zionists. Similarly, not all Zionists are Jews. Make sense? Am I wrong? No you are not wrong however am still confused with the zioniost/semitic phrases. You said that Zionism refers to the state of Israel-recognize of existance-while the other a sect of population. What if it is an individual from the pipulation (the jeww) being anti-semitic? History has shown Jews hating Jews and excuting them in great numbers. For example the Spanish Grand Inquisitor, Torquemada, was of Jewish descent. Karl Marx wrote some very nasty things about the Jews, as did Otto Weininger, an important Jewish writer in fin-de-siecle Vienna. Herzl, his contemporary and fellow-Viennese, wrote in his diaries some very uncomplimentary remarks about the Jews. How would you define a jew being anti-semtic? -
I'm looking for any leftist images either something with a hammer sickle or revolutionary kind. Would be handy if you could post images similar to these or either reference links. *Anyone asking for the rationale of the request it is for a research project and not to inslave you to work for me-that would be the work of a capitalist  ============================================ ================================================ ================================================ ================================================ ================================================= ================================================= =================================================

I had a question I wanted to share for discussion. Should Israel be a nation? What is your view on this issue? Should Israel be allowed to occupy a territory and disperse its native population in the name of divine right, or religous persecution? Is anti-zionism anti-semitism? Why not just leave Palestine as Palestine allowing both Jews and Muslims to inhabit the state? Why make a division? Why create an Israel, and why if you have created Israel, create a state of Palestine. Palestine is not all Muslim, there are some Christian Palestinans that live in the region as well. The Palestinians have been forced out of thier homes, to live in constant fear of Israeli expansion. The Jews may have a right to be there, but so should the Muslims and Christians. Using genocide to inspire sympathy for your political position, is still using genocide right?

Two questions that puzzled my mind for the past few weeks which I haven't been able to answer properly.Maybe you can ! Should The African Union, Canada, and the U.N. response force based in Khartoum send a stabiliztion force into Sudan, despite China's intention to Veto any resolution? Does the ethnic cleansing massacre outweigh objections? Gemocide is such an evil concept which needs to be adressed. Why do people kill others based on superficial divisions??? From my own perspective(could be consired basic response)the NATO nor the U.N can be trusted. NATO is basically an extension of the U.S military and the U.N has shown it's incompetence time and again. The only foreign assistance that i think would help is the African union. However i think they do not possess the drive nor resources for this venture. Any foreign military intervention will come with it's own hidden agendas. Secondly most of the estimated deaths in Darfur are from hunger and disease, not directly from violence. And if you're going to look at the causes of hunger and disease, it's not just war, but also imperialist economic domination and underdevelopment. Specifically in Sudan, U.S. imperialism simply has no interest in doing anything anyway. At most, they'll let it bleed for years as in Yugoslavia. They'll hypocritically proclaim that "the world can't just stand by" while doing exactly that. Then, conceivably, they may eventually intervene when both sides are sufficiently exhausted, and impose some settlement which will require continued intervention to enforce it, because it resolves none of the underlying problems. Comments appriciated!

To W.COM Is it compulsoryfor a country to be run by a 'leader'? Doesn't giving power or leadership to an individual, no different to you or I, cause dissimilarity between the elected and the people? Just want your thoughts on this.
