'Muslim-Only' Airport Line
The Resistance Movement replied to The Resistance Movement's topic in Politics
Since 9/11 (or even before)Pope Bush and Arbishop Blair are executing a plan to combat the forces of "radical Islam", a blueprint for a new cold war to be fought principally by means of espionage, subversion and economic sanctions, backed by periodic and, theoretically, limited military incursions. This war, war on terrorism,is the first to carry the blessing of all the world's major military powers: a grand global coalition against Islamic movements. Russia would like no better than a free hand crush the independence struggle in Chechnya and suppress similar movements on its southern flanks. Recently they have assassinated Chechen rebel commander Shamil Basayev. To its east, China is brutally smothering its own insurgency in Xinjiang, home to more than 50m Muslims. Then you have India, another nuclear power, has some 700,000 troops quashing an insurrection in majority Muslim Kashmir. War on terrorism is in fact a war against liberty, a war against us (Muslims) who cling to the hope that, just like those people in the west, we too will one day be able to determine and direct our own fate. Ever since independence, Muslim societies from Marakesh to Mindanao have had their aspirations for self-rule repressed by western-backed elites and dictators. For example take Algeria, where a ferocious war has been waged on Islamists (after elections they won in 1991 were annulled) with the active approval and connivance of the west. In Turkey, the largest mainstream Islamic party has been banned twice; now in its third guise, its leader Tayyib Erdogan faces trial for comments he made years ago. Forgotten by the world, hundreds of Turkish Islamists are serving 100-year-plus sentences for defying the taboo on mixing faith and politics. In the central Asian republic of Uzbekistan, suddenly a valuable coalition partner, an authoritarian regime has executed scores of Islamist dissidents since a 1999 attempt on the life of its dictator, Islam Karimov. Plus recently Muslims in Thailand have been randomly and openly by the Thailand's government under the cover of ''islamic Militants(see evidence http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/3665293.stm). Then you have the whole Middle East conflict from Iraq to Lebanon. Does the Ummah need more proof?More bloodshed? More invasion, destruction and killings of Muslims to finaly wake up and come in defense? -
Fox News Airs Suggestion for 'Muslim-Only' Airport Line Yesterday on Fox News' "Dayside," conservative radio host Mike Gallagher proposed that airports institute a "Muslims only" line for airport travelers during a segment Tuesday on racial profiling. Meta, that. From Newshounds, who "watch FOX so you don't have to": "Dayside" co-host Juliet Huddy set up the debate by noting that all terrorists have been Muslim extremists, and Jerrick claimed that some people oppose racial profiling as "politically incorrect." "It's not just a matter of political correctness, please," responded [constitutional lawyer Michael] Gross. "It's illegal, it's unconstitutional, unethical, immoral, it shouldn't be done. We do not in this country prejudge a person based upon their race, creed, color, country of national origin and it's wrong to do so and it addition it's not effective. It doesn't work. It actually perpetuates the problem. That is, it separates us." Gallagher responded that Gross's statements were "absolutely absurd" and claimed that the Traffic Safety Administration is aggressively targeting uniformed members of the military. "Let's have a Muslim-only line," Gallagher said, as Gross started to talk. Jerrick asked Gallagher to repeat what he said. "It's time to have a Muslims check-point line in America's airports and have Muslims be scrutinized. You better believe it, it's time," Gallagher said, garnering tepid audience applause. According to the Newshounds account, despite Gross' clarification above, the debate was framed as a "political correctness" issue rather than one of unconstitutionality. Source : http://www.huffingtonpost.com/eat-the-press/2006/08/16/fox-news-airs-suggestion-_e_27366.html ============================================ This would be a violation of the 5th Amendment ''No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime...'' and 4th Amendment ''The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized'' Having EVERYONE searched throughly for national security is significant however searching someone just because they're of a certian religion? How about going back to "coloreds only" restrooms, and maybe make us wear a yellow crescent on our clothing (like the Jews of Nazi-Germany) and have special license plates on cars to identify ourselves to the police? What are your opnions? Should there be a separate airport line for Muslims? If yes, how would they know who is and who isn't a Muslim?
-
As if Mr.Blair and Co. would take any heat to this letter. It's time for a direct action from the Muslim leaders in fighting against these dogmentry foreign policies which have caused so much destruction, death and separation in the Ummah world.

Al-Qaeda: Wrong Answers to Real Problems
The Resistance Movement replied to Jabhad's topic in General
'Al-Qaida' is a term created by the CIA and others (e.g. agents). In fact Bin Ladin and co never used the term 'al-qaida' to name their organisation whenever they appeared on tv(I stand corrected). Here is a snapshot of an article I read: ''Adam Dolnik and Kimberly McCloud reckon it's time we 'defused the widespread image of al-Qaeda as a ubiquitous, super-organised terror network and call it as it is: a loose collection of groups and individuals that doesn't even refer to itself as al-Qaeda'. Rest of article. http://www.spiked-online.com/articles/00000006DFED.htm To continiue..... 'Al-Qaida' whatever it is is not the problem and like you're article said 'not the answer to real problems' it is the CIA that created and feeds 'Al-Qaida' to exist. The CIA lost to 'Al-Qaida' back in the late 70/80's Russia -Afghanistan war and want to blame, first off all Islam, and secondly the Muslim Ummah that they created 'Al-Qaida', they support and work with 'Al-Qaida' and that 'Al Qaida' is a spokesman for Islam and the Muslim Ummah so whatever 'Al-Qaida' does is justified by Islam and the Muslim Ummah. The CIA and co succeeded exactly in what they wanted to create; an organisation that they created but acts under the banner of their enemy. Smart. *they=Islam and Muslim Ummah -

Today, who is a true Somali nationalist ?
The Resistance Movement replied to Paragon's topic in Politics
In reality there is no purpose or sense to nationalism. You did not choose to be born in Somalia therefore you can't claim to be a nationalist for the sake of being a Somali. Nationalism can lead to facism and society certainly does not need another Hitler. -
Afromali This is not your Material. Was there ever a mention of myself claiming the photographs were my own material? No need for you to re post pictures that have been on the pages of renowned world magazines, tvs and websites. Under which law restricts me and would I be breaking by using these photo's when all used photo's are copyrighted and permission to use is given? surely this is duplication. It would have been duplication if I claimed the images were my property and since I didn't it is 'surely not duplication'. Animal-Farm, I saw that image one time as a front cover of a book years ago you remember who use it ? Gracias for the Somali images by the way sure-another tool to demonstrate the brutality of capitalism.

Did america's classification policy towards "types" of muslims seal its fate? In america, it is not possible to speak of muslims and be considered knowledgeable on the subject unless you subscribe to the current classification policy which is as follows: Extreemist muslims are : those muslims who pray regularly, believe in all of the Quran, and who feel that the only sustainable, humane and fair form of goverment possible for humanity is that which is achieved by the complete and understanding practice of Islam. Moderate muslims are : those who attend jummah most of the time- to only occaisonally or just for eid, are willing to say that some of the Quran may be wrong, or that it may have been transmitted wrong, that covering for women isnt actually neccessary and will say that sharia either cant be implemented, or that it is not a good system. Liberal muslims are actually not muslims, they are arabs usually or from a muslim majority or heretage country, but they do not study islam, cover, abstain from non marital sex or alchohol, or beleive in family life. These are the definitions that have been driven into the heads of all muslims for a number of decades now and it is continually reinforced that there is no middle ground, so when the US says that they want to reach out to moderate and liberal muslims to form new governments in the region, muslims hear that the americans want leaders who will fill the ME and all muslim majority lands with night clubs and casinos, replace covering women with belly dancers, and who will teach young muslim girls and women that they are mentally deficient if they think that staying home and having children and raising them is not a waste of their tallents, which could be better put to use making men in the workforce look successful because of what the under payed female secretaries are doing for them. In the light of this crucuial information the US gov. to my knowledge would certainly have a hard time classifying individuals who are Muslims but neither consider themselves to be extremist, modern nor liberal. What would they call them? Atheist Muslims? What class would they type you with?

His final request, in a letter to his family, was to be buried with this photograph on his coffin. Toni Smith turns her back to the American flag during the national anthem as a protest of the war. More people should do the same. armed KKK-kid *watch out folks! One of America's Right Hands lost his right hand. I think I should stop and I hope ya'll get the impact of what the images illustrate. Share a powerful political photograph, no restrictions. Include a brief explanation or caption with your image. *warning some of these images are disturbing but so is life & war  ~Iraq~ She's too busy crying to shower us with kisses. Nobody steals an inner tube from us! 'Collateral' damage in Iraq: Smile. You are liberated! Wife, Mother, killed in munitions blast. January 25th: an American missile strikes the residential district of Al Jumhuriya, Basra. These two Iraqi girls, sisters, were found dead in the rubble. Pentagon spokesman Ken Bacon acknowledged the strike: "The US regrets any civilian casualties," he said, "but has no independent evidence that any Iraqis were killed'' Calling out for her mother, but her mother has just been shot to death due to "some confusion" by US Marines. Rich people beating up poor people: it's called democracy *yawn*

The Somali Social Unity Party
The Resistance Movement replied to The Resistance Movement's topic in Politics
Haddad, So if the S.S.U.P, as you mentioned is a socialist group it does nessaerly mean their theory (socialism) should be confined to Marxism and what Marxism stood for.Having said that I'm not sure how one should define socialism either, given that people with a great number of views describe themselves as socialists. From Wikipedia Socialism is defined as 'a system in which the government is in charged of most of the economic, political and social aspects of a country: socialism is an idea based on equality''. If, and I say if because I need to read more, the S.S.U.P. claimed to a socialist then it lives up to the definition given. So equality and the right ownership of everything in the country to the state is a possible structure for Somalia. We have had anarchism and religiouis-based ruling and we all know and can see what the end result is so perhaps Somalia needs a new ideaology that does not govern on people's background information but rather on how we can work as whole for one another and for the state. It may lead to communism but that different theory that Somalia is not ready for and we can only discuss further on -if you like. ^^^The future perhaps ? -
The Somali Social Unity Party
The Resistance Movement replied to The Resistance Movement's topic in Politics
Haddad, It's a party whose ideology is based on Karl Marx's theories of socialism. From the info on their own site it begs to differ. In fact there is not single mention of marxism in there site and no connections to marxist political and non-political organisations. So I doubt your theory here. The S.S.U.P. main structure for there party is the principles of dialogue, discussion, power-sharing, equality, justice, freedom of expression and the development of the prestige of the Somali nation among the familiy of nations without infringing on their cultural values. Marxism is not influenced by culture as culture differentiates individuals from each other and state e.g. what the current Somalia is right at the moment. it will achieve little or nothing, because it has no representation or base support in Somalia. There are few reasons why this it. The lack of resources available in Somalia makes it impossible for the S.S.U.P to set up its service e.g. the security & stabiliy of Somalia. Secondly at the moment there is no support perhaps one cay say for ANY political organisation whether S.S.U.P. or not because the people in Somalia have little or no access to the servies if provided due to the current condition. If there was some sense of securtiy perhaps the S.S.U.P and other organisations who are not influenced by qabil and tribalism and whatnot could have already set up their offices and the people of Somalia may have already educated and familiarized themselves with the organisations and support one or two. The solution to Somalia's troubles will come from within, i.e. Somalis who live in Somalia. Political and international pressure with military invasion can sort out Somalia by night. I don't see why we should clindge on the theory that if Somalia is going to be changed it will come from within. The people that live within Somalia could not have sorted themselves out over the past 30+ years and I certianly don't expect so either. To sit and wait for a couple of oldies who still haven't grasped the idea that death brings nothing don't deserve to be waited for. -

mizz_S.lander will it be a wast of my time as u'll not read it and just resist, or will u read it, consider it, and see if it makes sense. if so i'll be very happy to tell u why. I'm not those kind of people. I read and replayed to your post because it was interesting and important and not for the reasons you stated. Hibo I sense for your respond that you know what you are talking about and thanks for sharing the information. I'm not an expert on Islam and certainly don’t intend to fake to know it but I’m a liberal and if one sister doesn’t feel that she wants to wear the hijab-regardless whether it say’s- (I read the evidence you have given)- the opportunity to refuse should be given since after all it is her right and her choice. How many 'requirements’ of the Quran have the Muslims ignored since the revelation of the Quran in order to benefit the individual or society’s comfort? What I am trying to say in short is that choices and rights of individuals in today’s society are more significant than the revelation of the Quran. Nobody keeps to the ‘requirements’ because of globalization and the continuous development of people’s minds, beliefs, morals and choices changing.
