  3. ^Excellent point. This is a noble idea and something that is greatly missing from the psyche of the Somali community, incredibly it is seen as a taboo, Guur Xalaal ah! When all kinds of other immoral behaviors have become the norm in the Somali dictionary. In fact all other communities Muslims and non Muslims have the service except the uncivilised nomads that see this as ceeb. The Pakistanis, Indians, all Asians and the Arab as well as all forms of western dating agencies. Gabar guud doon ah waa gabar sharaf leh.

  5. Somalia: President Sheikh Sharif in Puntland 19 Dec 19, 2011 - 9:18:53 AM GAROWE, Somalia Dec 19 2011 (Garowe Online) - The TFG President Sheikh Sharif arrived with a 6-man delegation comprising TFG cabinet Ministers and other stakeholders. Puntland President Abdirahman Mahamed and senior Puntland officials received the delegation at Garowe Airport this afternoon,Radio Garowe reports. After inspecting a guard of honour, a press conference was conducted. The Puntland President welcomed the visiting delegation to Puntland. President Farole then briefed the delegation on preparational efforts geared towards holding the Somalia Constitutional conference. He also presented a tentative agenda for the upcoming conference to the TFG delegation. Loud ululations from the audience filled the air, as President Farole welcomed President Sharif to the podium. After expressing appreciation for the warm welcome, President Sharif stated the purpose of his visit to Puntland. “I am here to take part in the conference” the TFG President said. “Its time for the people of Somalia to unite so as to overcome hardships and end the civil war that has plagued our country for more than 2 decades.” As the sun set, a thinned crowd waved green branches at the passing Presidential motorcade, escorted by Puntland security forces to the Puntland State House. The high-level Conference on the Constitution will take place in Garowe, Puntland State, from 21 to 23 December 2011. This conference follows the Consultative Meeting on Ending the Transition, which took place in Mogadishu from 4 to 6 September 2011. GAROWEONLINE
  6. Somalia: Garowe Conference ready despite spoilers, says Puntland leader 17 Dec 17, 2011 - 1:10:01 AM GAROWE, Somalia Dec 17 2011 (Garowe Online) – The President of Somalia’s Puntland government, Dr. Abdirahman Mohamed Farole, welcomed a delegation Friday consisting of officials from the United Nations, the African Union and regional bloc in the Puntland capital Garowe, Radio Garowe reports. The delegation included Christian Manahl, UN Deputy Special Envoy for Somalia, AU Special Envoy for Somalia, Amb. Boubacar Diara, and IGAD Facilitator for Somalia Kipruto Arap Kirwa and Somali Ambassador to Kenya, Amb. Mohamed Ali America. Puntland ministers welcomed the delegation at Garowe airport. The delegation met with President Farole to discuss the planned Somalia Constitutional Conference, which was scheduled to be held in Garowe on 15 December but has faced some delays due to parliamentary infighting in Mogadishu. The Puntland leader told the visiting dignitaries that he would like the conference, which was postponed two times, to begin in Garowe on Tuesday 20 December without any new delays. Speaking to reporters at the planned conference venue in Garowe alongside Mr. Manahl, Amb. Diara and Amb. Kirwa, President Farole said: “This high-level delegation from the UN, AU and IGAD came to Puntland to assess the situation and preparation for the Conference. As you can see, our government is committed to the Roadmap and has completed all preparations and we are expecting the delegations to arrive in Puntland.” Continuing, the President commented on why the meeting was postponed yet again, saying: “There are some MPs of the Transitional Federal Parliament (TFP), as well as other politicians including ex-warlords, who do not want this conference to take place in Garowe and they are spoilers of the Roadmap process.” President Farole added: “As we all know, the Garowe Conference is open to be attended by all the Somali stakeholders who signed the Roadmap, including the Transitional Federal Institutions, Ahlu Sunna group and others.” Mr. Manahl, the UN Deputy Envoy for Somalia, told reporters in Garowe that the delegation would travel to Mogadishu to meet TFG President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, Prime Minister Abdiweli Mohamed Ali and Speaker of Parliament Sharif Hassan to discuss how they can carry on the proposed constitutional conference for 20 December. Parliamentary infighting Responding to President Farole’s comments, former Mogadishu warlord Salad Ali Jeele who is now a TFP lawmaker told a Mogadishu-based radio station that “the Garowe Conference is exclusive for certain people.” MP Jeele’s radio comments were in contrast to transparency of Puntland authorities and the UN-backed Roadmap process, for which the constitutional conference is an important component. On Dec. 13, a group of TFP lawmakers held a parliament session in Mogadishu with the Speaker and Deputy Speakers absent. According to this group of MPs, they held a no-confidence vote to oust Speaker Sharif Hassan. However, Mr. Sharif and his Deputy Speaker Mr. Mohamed Ali Mudey rejected the parliament vote as illegal, saying the MPs violated parliamentary bylaws and the spirit of the Kampala Accord, which led to the adoption of the Roadmap process. Fistfights broke out in parliament after the two groups of MPs fought over the controversial vote. The TFG has been gripped with political infighting which has lately escalated and also the threat of terrorists who engaged in relentless violence against the TFG and African peacekeepers (AMISOM) in Mogadishu. The European Union issued a strongly worded statement, saying: “As the UN Security Council set out in May, the TFIs cannot assume that the support of the international community will continue indefinitely and we reiterate the international community’s willingness to consider sanctions against spoilers of the peace process.”Read Full Statement Since coming to power in 2004, the TFIs have been dependent on international support to pay for army salaries and analysts say the strong warning sends a clear message to Somali leaders. 7. ^Agreed that war is no good and leads only to destruction but make no mistake patience is running out from the people of northern Mudug's Puntland side. Constant shelling of the airport, broad daylight attacks against the mayor of the city and Puntland's security apparatus, kidnapping of children and a never ending targeted and calculated attacks and setting of road blocks between Galkacyo and surrounding villages. All these are signs of the provocation of the unruly militia originating from Baraxley. War is not an answer but as you rightly said, Galmudug is a non entity and controls no where, its an admin that exists only on paper and nothing more. Puntland should realise that and treat them as such by taking matters into their hand specially the security matters, set up barracks and police stations across and all over the city including Baraxley. Allow Galmudug to exist on paper and take the responsibility to ensure the security of the entire city, all its road entrances and the surrounding. That will benefit both sides, the business communities and all residents of Galkacyo.
  8. ^Adeer iska daa waryaa and stop the lies. He is the only effective, capable and hardworking finance minister of Puntland state since its inception. Faroole and Gagaab were much worse and broad daylight thieves.
  9. Odagaanu was nothing more than a barking dog. He stood on an empty ball, and for nothing, only aroused the excitement of the sensationalists.
  10. Yartanu iyadoo fiyow ayaa iigu danbeysayee ma JIN baa marayna? Nuune iyo Jinihiisi are to blame.
  11. ^Oh do you? Mind reader, huh? Forget about all that, as a secessionist that never really matters to you. Just tell me what he will say about Somaliland, the late Egal, Siilaanyo and the SNM movement. Bal car intaa sheeg for the record? I will probably get the book by next week and see whether your prediction and your mind reading ability is accurate.
  12. Curiously will be looking forward to reading it. As a young man I know what happened during the 90's and the civil war era but the 80's and the period that preceded. I'm particularly interested in reading his take about the quarrel and the relationship he had with Siad Barre, the 1964 and 77 Somali war against Ethiopia. His heydays in the Somali armed forces when the Somali army enjoyed such power and dominance in the region. What he has to say about all these things.
  13. “Dhalinyarada Awdal-state-baanu nahay leh waxaan xasuusinayaa qadiyadii Somaliland-baanu caalamka cid naga hoos qaada aanu la’nahay.” Sheekh Cabdilaahi The old man kills the secessionist project by his above statement, in fact one can deduce from the above statement two profound advises: He reinforces the secessionist endless bewilderment and constant failure as a sinking project. Also he warns the young Awdalites from the brutal, long and exhaustive experience the secessionist went through by trying to become independent nation. However, the old man needs to informed that unlike the secessionist Awdal state is a Somali state within the jurisdiction of the Somali federal system, the state has earned recognition, respect and support of the Somali people that love unity and the blue flag, and that's all that matters. Odaga, it seems, is tired, frustrated and bored with the old secessionist tune. And this is different but his advice is well meant.
  14. ^Threatening and calling for war against the peaceful people of Awdal for deciding to stay away from the sinking project of the secessionist is not a wise move. Whether the SNM gangs threaten to commit massacre in Awdal or not there is no turning back for Awdal state. Viva to Awdal State of Somalia, and viva to the unionists.
  15. ^Afkii yaa juqda gabay waaye, his beloved satirist is having a mick at his beloved traingle burhandubar, you cannot threaten reer Buhodle with guns you invite them to Burco and welcome with a red carpet and pay the blood money in triple so there is no need for my help. As for Awdal, its real, you just need to smell the coffee. What you call today Somaliland has started in the same manner, Awdal state has passed the age of suppression, it has become a phenomena like any other region, Puntland, Somaliland, Galmudug, SSC or Awdal State. There is no turning back, Live with it like I told you.
  16. I'm amazed at HSMPress Office's messages and responses. It's funny, entertaining and full of wit and eloquence. It's a breath of fresh air, at least to some extent, to see a movement based in Somalia responding in such a manner to western journalists given that we have accustomed to incompetent fools that sound restarted when they engage with the international media. But I still have my doubts about the real personalities behind HSMPress.
  17. The secessionists are left with nothing but to threaten with guns as if guns are exclusive to them. They once claimed to have invented democracy on this very website. Please will someone tell them that guns are on sale everywhere. The simple truth is the people of Awdal both inside and outside have decided to become self-governing body within a Somali federal system, accept it, live with it and leave their land without any threats. Reer Awdal are known to be non violent and peaceful people so vacate their lands peacefully.
  18. ^Comprehension is a bliss. A man is a human being, a father, and a brother before he's decorated with titles. Re-read my post and try to fully understand it.
  19. I just like one thing about them: The girls are so innocent; and that is something when you are Somali.
