Give up caffeine?....those words aint even in my vocab!! Its in my families best interest for me to get my daily dose of caffeine. But I do agree with you that it is a big health factor. Somalis do have a very unhealthy diet....as raula said it consists mostly of carbs, sugar and protein. They did a research study here in MNPLS on somalis...they said somalis gain an average of 7lb every year because of all the carbs and fat they consume.

^^^ To me love consists of two factors 1-Sexual chemistry---I don't think this needs any explaining. 2-common ground--So you have something to talk about....same outlook in life, plans for the future, same religion, family history etc......

^^^^ My thoughts exactly...nothing we can do about it right now...just make sure we don't do the same to our children.

I thought me and my sister were the only ones dealing with that kind of sh!t!!!! My mom tried the whole..take turns doing the chores around the house thing....but me and my sister always end up doing the whole damn thing. If we don't cook fast enough...my mom complains about how we are starving "her son" to death This summer for example...my sister is studing for the MCAT so she comes home really late at night....I go to work then go str8 to the library to study for the GRE...my brother on the other hand sleeps in late...wakes up at 2pm....watches some t;v then goes to play ball with his boys. Despite our busy schedule we still have to make sure that there is food to eat...and that the house is clean....if my mom comes home to a messy house with no food...all hell will break loose. IT used to really get to me the whole "he's a guy" thing...but now i've learned to just do what i'm told and move on.As long as I don't disobey my mom...then its all good. LADYHOVA---hang in there girl.

^^^^ you could take a break for a year...Most universities usually keep your application on file for a year...so if you've already been accepted then all you have to do is inform them that you wont actually maticulate for another year. But I have to tell you its really hard to get back to school if you've been off for awhile. Anymore questions?

Wardi walaal gacan baan kuu taagay... Its nice to see a somali brother who is proud of helping his wife out. And thank you for recognizing all that we somali women do for our families. We do realize that there are many somali brothers that are real men and that do take care of their families and help out around the house. That just goes to show you that in a marriage there shouldn;t be any defined roles...when things need to get done it doesn't really matter who does it. 1luv
