Somali warlords deploy gunmen near Baidoa amid fears of Ethiopian incursion
wind.talker replied to Gabbal's topic in Politics
^^ Dayniile.com, HornAfrik.com, Shabelle Radio - this is your evidence? BTW you forgot to mention GedoNet.com which posted an article towards the same effect. But if these sites are your "evidence" that Puntland militia and Ethiopian troops are on Somali soil, then I have no choice but to quiet the debate, for you're as empty-handed as Riyaale was when he returned from London in March 2004. -
Somali warlords deploy gunmen near Baidoa amid fears of Ethiopian incursion

Originally posted by HornAfrique: Shaati-Guduud/Deerow Isxaq are being supported by Ethiopian weaponry combined with Puntland foot-soldiers. How is that any different from Xaabsade/Saransoor receiving backing from USC/JVA with Indhacade soldiers? SXB, it would actually be fair if it were TRUE. You're basing this whole argument on he-say/she-say and not on CONCRETE evidence. There is no CONCRETE evidence that Puntland militias or Ethiopian troops are presently in Bay or Bakool regions. However, there is plenty of CONCRETE evidence that Indhocade's militias have militarily engaged in intra-RRA civil war in Baydhabo (and he openly continues to instigate war by placing his militias near Baydhabo in defense of a future "Ethiopian invasion"). As things stand right now, Indhocade is clearly in the wrong - you know that, but perhaps you agree with his motives so you don't wanna admit it. Also, you don't want to admit that Gedo militias (within the JVA) are ready to defend Baydhabo alongside Indhocade's. Are they (Gedo militias) near Baydhabo right now or not? -
The Dark Side of Borame Town and its Residents Three select English proverbs states, “Appearance is deceptive,†“Better to be envied than pitied†and “Desperate diseases must have desperate remedies.†And in the case of Borame Town and its residents, all these three proverbs fit them squarely or are applicable to them!! Borame, the largest and most populous town in Awdal province has a dark side to its deceptive appearance and it is rather a place to be pitied than envied as it is plagued by a desperate disease that may cause serious societal problems if unchecked and remedied immediately. Despite its scenic location and good climate, there is a curse lurking around every bend of this small which may continue to haunt its residence till the Day of Judgement if not reversed soon. The residence of this town have long chosen evil over good and have deliberately transgressed the universal divine system of morals, ethics and laws and seem to be ripping the fruits of their colossal sins. Nevertheless, if the residents of this town don’t come to their senses and repent and seek forgiveness and refuge from their creator, The Almighty God and quickly begin a process to right the wrongs and pains they have caused to their innocent ***** brethren whom they have unnecessarily massacred en masse, tortured, robbed, and impoverished during the period they supported and fought along side the tyrannical military regime of Dictator Siyad Barre, every living man, woman and child living presently as well as every child born to them thereafter will carry forward a curse which may eventually corrupt their souls, wreck havoc in the fabric of their society and probably precipitate an affliction of an enormous calamity to themselves in the near future. Therefore, it is in their interest as a people to seek forgiveness and repent now for Allah is Al Ghafur, The All-Forgiving. It is common knowledge that during the liberation war of Somaliland, Borame town became the centre of looted ***** properties from Hargeisa city, Gabiley, Arabsiyo, and other adjacent townships. In addition, there is no doubt that the residents of Borame took the lion share of the loot and benefited immensely from the illegal or “Haaram†***** properties and wealth they stole from them. Worse still, these looted goods were openly sold in an open air markets in Borame streets and due to the magnitude of the loot, the town became the major distributing centre for Lowya Ado, Zeila, and the adjacent townships, where looted goods were also sold in the open streets. These illegal activities attracted the merchants of death in the region who came by the droves from as far as Dire Dawa, Harar, Jigjiga, and Djibouti to illegally benefit as well from the looted ***** properties and wealth. I must admit though that whenever I see Borame even by a picture, I begin to wonder how much of illegal ***** properties and wealth are still in its buildings or wonder how many of those shimmering roofs, doors, and windows were among those looted from the beautiful residential and commercial buildings of Hargeisa and elsewhere or wonder what their Mullahs, Traditional Elders, politicians, and intellectuals think about all these evil deeds or wonder whether the fat men with big tummies and the beautiful ladies with huge bosoms were fattened by the looted ***** properties and wealth!! However, the residents of Borame who are fond of calling themselves the so called “Awdalians†or “Awdalites†or “Intellectuals, a futile attempt to designate themselves as a distinct society and inhabitants of an autonomous region within Somaliland seem to be drowned by the evil of their deeds. It seems that the curse has slowly caught up with them as these residents seem to be permanently confused, dissatisfied, demoralized, suspicious of themselves as well as of others, and known to be still disloyal even though one of them occupies the presidency, the highest political seat in the land. Apparently, the causes for their political and social turbulence have arisen from their lack of support of the good such as democracy, good governance and the rule of law, adherence to the constitution and the laws of the land, justice for all, progress, and development of the citizenry and the country in general and instead supporting the evil that emanates from their continued support of dictatorial systems and leaders particularly for their adamant support of Mr. Dahir Riyaale Kahin and his cohorts who are clearly presiding over an inept and corrupt system that systematically represses the citizenry, commits gross injustices at all segments of the society, grossly violates the human rights, constantly suppresses the freedoms of the press, forcefully suppresses the of freedom of speech, arbitrarily arrests and unlawfully detains the citizenry, perpetuates an endemic corruption, practices nepotism, and tirelessly works to retard all kinds of development thereby dampening the spirit of the citizenry and weakening the country politically, economically and socially to its avowed enemies. As a result, it is obvious that there is a dark side to Borame Town and its residents and a curse may have slowly creped into their veins and already circulating in their blood and probably disturbing their emotions and mental wellbeing. Therefore, the appearance of Borame is truly deceptive and the town and its residence are better pitied than envied as they seem to have been plagued by a desperate disease that surely may require desperate remedies in order to avert the looming catastrophe in this World and in the Hereafter. For these reason, it is in the interest of the so called “Awdalians†or “Awdalites†or “Intellectuals†to seriously turn inward and do some soul searching in an honest and Islamic manner and to return some of the looted ***** properties and wealth, seek a forgiveness them, and to repent to Allah, the creator of this universe and all that is therein. All Zenawi wants is Washington to give him the Green Light. He'll say anything to get that green light, sxb. I don't know why you're surprised. But you're right. Its not a coincidence. The Ethiopian card is on the table now, plain and evident. Question is: what will Sharif Xasan and his branch of the TFG do? More importantly, will Washington grant the ETs the much-needed Green Light to invade Somalia in chase of their ghost terrorists? I hope they don't. There's a greater evil here behind the scenes that's much worse than all other Somali warlords, TFG whatever the hell you wanna call 'em put together. And I don't think any of these so-called leaders are ready to combat this threat to Somalinimo.

Mogadishu/warlord media lash out crazily at anyone..LOSING is BAD
wind.talker replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
^^ LOL Don't share such harsh truth with him. Whether or not the TFG survives, the Somali people will always be the victims, not specifically Reer Puntland because their "man" failed his job - not that he has, yet. -

HORN - If you knew the character of Jini-Boqor, you wouldn't even THINK of posting his name walahi sxb. The fact that the anti-Col Yeey/Ghedi group is using this guy to get across their political points shows a bit of desperation (not that desperation lacks on the other side either). But its all part of the game. -

wind.talker replied to Gabbal's topic in Politics
I made the comment about Indhocade because - without any evidence of Ethiopian troops in Somalia (except for media reports) - he constantly says he'll fight them. If they're not there, how do you fight a ghost army? Its quite simple: any RRA faction, except Xaabsade's, is considered an Ethiopian contingent. Does he (Indhocade) really believe he can defeat the RRA in their own land? That's the one thing I find hard to believe. The U.S., with all its might, couldn't defeat the Vietnamese soldiers, and now can't defeat the Iraqi insurgents. Point being: you can never truly defeat a man in his own home. Indhocade - and his USC cohorts - think violence and war is the way to get their points across. For example, they say JVA militias will support Xaabsade and Indhocade to "defend" Somalia against the Ethiopian army. Which JVA are we talking about? HORN, maybe you can help me out on this. When they say JVA, are they saying militias from Gedo will militarily engage in Baydhabo against the major branch of the RRA? I doubt it. JVA is a nice way of saying Guriceel/Hobyo militias who want to use political names and gimmicks to thwart public opinion. If war sparks in Baydhabo, its strictly between to Somali clans: major RRA faction v. minor RRA/USC-Guriceel/Hobyo folks. Just like Aideed Jr. was chased out of Baydhabo in '99, I think the new USC will have the same fate. The military prowess of the USC is ONCE AGAIN in question. How many political and military defeats has this organization suffered? Yet, they haven't learned a single thing. Caqli lix-saac at its prime! -

I'm still trying to figure out what 40 technicals can do against the Ethiopian army? The long-awaited battle is here. A lotta SOL nomads want to avoid the truth - for example, if Baydhabo is to be the temporary HQ of the TFG, how could they land there when its in Xaabsade/Indhocade's (read: Cabdiqasim) hands? The TFG has to militarily occupy Baydhabo, and that can only happen through war. Col Yeey is a man of war, intaas ka yar awalba kama sugin. We'll see which branch remains when all the smoke's gone. -
The government gets its way- Gains more than the 139 majority:

GENERAL DUKE- I hope you know this action by Col Yeey means one thing: WAR! Can they beat Col Yeey in war? Remains to be seen.. -
^^ You're a man not familiar with Indhocade's recent history, most notably his involvement in Gedo during the heydays of al-Itihad. When the Ethiopian helicopters descended upon Gedo in '96, Indhocade and his cohorts were the first cowards to flee on foot and by car. I'm sure you view him as a 'hero' of one sort or another - but we'll see what this hero does IF his ragtag militias militarily engage Ethiopian troops on the frontlines. And Pukeland - oh man! Let's see: 'Pukeland' covers roughly 1/3 of Somalia and it has one (1) elected leader. You think Muqdisho politicians have reached that level of civility yet? You think they can put aside their differences when the REAL DEAL comes to their doorsteps? I'm 100% positive many Muqdisho 'leaders' are turncoats in disguise - you see, cowards with whom the truth will catch up sooner or later. The only man I exclude from that list is your beloved 'Mujahid' Yalaxow Calasow Donkey Driver-low, etc.

Faysal Cali Waraabe (aka Faisal the Hyena) is a disgusting, hate-inspired creature! ADNAAN, one minute you accuse me of being a 'tribalist' - the next minute you're here supporting the filthiest Somali politician of our generation. Do you blind yourself from the hate 'the Hyena' sprews, esp. for Somali people from Puntland and/or Gedo regions? He's a fake, useless politician who overtly collaborates with the Riyaale regime, although he fancies himself as an 'opposition' figure. Opposition to whom? He sure as hell ain't opposing Riyaale. Maybe he's opposing KULMIYE, the true opposition party led by a man who truly fought and stood for a CAUSE. What the hell does Ina Waraabe stand for? Give us a break with the cheap ads for Ina Waraabe!

The liver again? Odaygu must be thinking: Damn this liver problem! I'm sooo close to dictating these Somali sheep.

SULDAANKA - SXB, its funny how you find my comments odd but you conviently overlook EX XISBIGA when he makes comments such as: Originally posted by Ex-Xisbiga: ...the enemies are plenty on this landfill, you will quickly learn the rhetoric and abusive language certain groups, in particular puntlanders use around here. Just to let you know how sick some people here are, they (i mean so called puntlanders) I was merely showing him how 'Puntland' should be the least of his worries. Riyaale is busying robbing the people of Somaliland out of their hard-won status of today, but UDUB mouthpieces like EX XISBIGA wanna entertain us with stories of how 'Puntland' is THE enemy. I'm of the assumption that the enemy is from within. Originally posted by ADNAAN: On a serious note though I will WALAAHI advice you to look for some sort of a treatment as you are the hope of many ppl who are stranded and are hostages to qabyaalad back home. What kind of treatment do you recommend? I've been searching for a cure for my tribal illness for years. Share ideas - afterall, SOL is a place where ideas are shared. Thanks

EX-XISBIGA - Which river: the Nile or the Congo? I personally like the Congo because great stories have emerged from that corner of our beloved continent, Africa. However, its good to see you support NSS officer-turned-Somaliland president. Believe it or not, I support him too because he was 'elected' - as you've pointed out. Remind me again: wasn't there a dispute about his March 2003 victory over Ahmed Siilaanyo? Something about how UDUB spent tax money to fund their campaign. Any bells yet? Nonetheless, its always good to support David in his battle against Goliath. Riyaale is David (as a member of the minority, of course ) and, well, you already know who Goliath is. What's surprising is that Goliath has gotten so fat that's he's virtually immobile or doesn't know what to do. But Goliath is sure of one thing: David really f-ed up and he gotta go - but how? He's the 'elected' leader, no? Viva UDUB! Viva minority rule, majority silence. You see, its all part of 'democracy.' Do you know how Hitler was allowed to become so powerful within Germany? Because he convinced the German people that the Jews were the enemy. Riyaale's power stems from the fact that he's constantly saying 'Puntland' is the enemy. Continue to empower him - saying 'Puntland is the enemy' won't change anything. It won't build schools, it won't renovate hospitals, its just words, words and more words. And more importantly, its a strategy to keep YOUR eyes (as a Somalilander) off the ball (the real issues). Cheers, mate

Why wouldn't they deny it? GW Bush is still DENYING the fact that Iraq is engulfed in a CIVIL WAR - and that his policy of "democratizing" the Middle East is an utter failure and has created more enemies than friends. All Republicans are the same. P.S. Have you seen the bumper stickers nowadays on some cars (esp. xaaji-qamsiin aka trucks) that read: She's Not My Governor!? They (the Republicans aka Blood Gang) are still in DENIAL of the FACT that Christina Gregoire is the GOVERNOR of Washington State, ka waran. Dadkaas rajo ha ka sugin.

I wonder: is Riyaale succeeding? When I read this following excerpt, I believe he's indeed succeeding with the low-intellect group of pro-Somalilanders. Just read what this guy wrote: Originally posted by Ex-Xisbiga: the enemies are plenty on this landfill, you will quickly learn the rhetoric and abusive language certain groups, in particular puntlanders use around here. Just to let you know how sick some people here are, they (i mean so called puntlanders) The 'enemy' is Puntland, indeed. Was it Puntland that seized KULMIYE HQ? Was it Puntland that virtually shut down the Berbera port? Was it Puntland that postponed the already-scheduled democratic elections of Somaliland (originally scheduled for March 2005)? No! It was Riyaale and his closest cohorts (Axmad Yasin, Cige, etc). They're all conniving theives who play the victim card against their own people. "We" were victims of Barre's atrocities, so empower "us" to secure your destiny - a damning rhetoric that'll ultimately cause plenty of problems. I believe this other 'Somalilander' caught on with Riyaale's inaccuracies and his faults. It was Riyaale who ordered 75% of Somaliland's military men and hardware to be parked in Yagoori station ready to 'defend' their mythical eastern border, thereby using precious (and I do mean PRECIOUS) revenue that could be used to help such things as the recent damage caused by floods, educational purposes, healthcare, etc. In reference to Riyaale (whom I see as the one and only 'enemy' of Somaliland), a Somalilander writes: Originally posted by NGONGE: This man is an ignoramus, an ill-informed, ill-prepared and inarticulate simpleton. What else could I possibly add to this? Enough said. Keep singing 'Puntland is the enemy' and let Riyaale win - let him fill his pockets with money, let him run Somaliland like his own backyard, and let him ruin the dream that was once espoused in the establishment of Somaliland: a place where everyone's rights were protected, where peace and justice prevailed above all else, indeed, the closest thing to a Somali 'utopia.' If his original intention was to destroy that dream, then he's largely succeeding because he's convinced plenty of Somalilanders that the enemy is - depending on day to day - Djibouti, Puntland, etc.

WHY THE NEW INTERIM SOMALIAN GOVERNMENTS BOUND TO FAIL
wind.talker replied to BOQORKA BORAMA's topic in Politics
Originally posted by BOQORKA BORAMA: To allow yusuf and the warlords the chance to run the nation is unthinkable...its almost like sending a battered and raped wife back to her husband. LOL In a funny way, I have to agree with this statement. But you gotta understand the fact that the 'Somali people' have - for the past 15 years - put their man and material behind the leadership of warlords, druglords and self-styled 'sheik-lords.' When the 'Somali Reconcilliation Conference' was going on in Nairobi, IGAD and the int'l community that Somalia's problems were caused by these warlords - who used clan time and again - and could be solved by them (as far as disarmament is concerned, because the warlords are the only armed ones). The bigger problem started from the fact that these so-called Somali leaders and the world body have always given their time and effort into creating a Somali-wide national government, instead of empowering and helping regional administrations self-govern and retain some form of control in their lands (the 'building blocks' theory). Someone famous once said that 'All government is local.' Somalis think government and the return of Somalia can only happen with a national government. That's been tried 14 times (this is the 14th attempt). 13 have failed because one warlord or another 'rejected' it. Chances are #14 will also fail - unless some major changes are made along the way. For now, the best we can do is await the outcome of this TFG. If they fail, Somalia remains chaotic and disorganized. If they pass, we begin the challenge of toppling Col Yeey because once he gains power, he's known to use it. -
