  2. Oh mouth watering weekend of footie My prediction Arsenal vs. Chelsea 2-0 Liverpool vs. Man U 2-2 Although there is a big possibility that Liverpool might get hammered I am hoping that they won’t embarrass themselves and do us a favour.
  3. A very nice piece Ghanima (you can be my ) Kashafa brave heart is one of my favourite movies, the cocky Irish man is the bomb
  4. Emperor my Friend I know you very well and you are a good brother who comes from a good family. However if what GJ has posted is true (and since I see no evidence why it should not be true) then the world is as crystal clear as a bottle of Evian drinking water. ONLF clearly state that the Ethiopian aggression in Mogadishu is wrong and that they should immediately pull out (pretty much in line with my view). The saying “The enemy of my enemy is my friend” very much applies to the current situation in East Africa. Emperor ONLF recognises the TFG I will go one further and say the Alliance in Asmara also recognise the TFG, but what has that got to do with their view on the aggression against Mogadishu. They clearly state that they are against the atrocities happening in Mogadishu and that Ethiopia should pull out The humorous aspect of this post is that Camiir was applauding ONLF resistance against Ethiopia, yet again deploring the resident of Mogadishu resistance against Ethiopia. If you do not want to be seen as contradictory then either say I support Mogadishu resistance against Ethiopia and the same way I support ONLF resistance against Ethiopia or I oppose all resistance against Ethiopia.
  5. I think ONLF have spoken for them selves with regards to the situation in Somalia. They know the aggressor from first hand experience and support those who also fighting against them.
  6. Good job ONLF Loool I do not know whether to laugh or get angry, these people are confused, they praise ONLF in its struggle yet at the same time call the legitimate resistance against Ethiopia Terrorism, anarchist or looters. Saxiibaal get on one side of the tracks and stop jumping around or you will be hit by the train. May the resistance against Ethiopia from all corners succeed
  7. Elysian it is a sad state that a forum which prides itself as the cream of the Somali crop has not even unified both opposing groups on a single issue, the place is like the online version of Jerry Springer show. this was something written not so long ago to help unify atleast someof our ideas quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Most days when you browse this forum there is I find little that appeals to me, so it is refreshing when I read a post such as the one by Makhirian inviting fellow Muslim Somalis to unite with there needy brother and sisters in south of Somalia. We should focus our energy on those issues that will bring us closer to unity and make our bonds stronger. Being one the most homogenous nation in the world we have so many reasons to be united. - We are all Muslims - We are all Somalis - We all want our religion to be the law that governs our land (because if you don’t then your faith is in doubt) - We are all from the same Tribe - We all yearn for a greater Somalia that has influence in the world About two weeks ago when I was on the bus I saw something strange, I saw a Somali women purse being snatched by a Easter European looking lady just as they were struggling over the bag two other Somali women came out of the local market. Instinctively without worrying about their shopping and possessions they both ran to the aid of their Somali sister (from what I saw I doubt the Polish lady will ever try to steal a Somali woman’s bag again) . But the point is they did not ask what her tribe was, they did not stand in the side passively watching like all other passer-by, they did what was natural to them, something that our religion teaches us “come to the aid of your brother and sister when they need it”. Today the lives and wealth of our brothers and sisters in the South of Somalia is being snatched and ripped apart once again by a stranger that has come from foreign lands, the lives of our brothers and sister from ONLF is being snatched, yet we choose to sit passively going against our natural instinct. Mashallah the brother back home are fighting with tooth and nail, these foreigners thought Mogadishu was going to be a walk in the park, if it was a football game we can say that the Ethiopian crusaders have been taken into extra time. Our brothers from Puntland, Somaliland, Makhirland, and Galmudug need to come to the aid of their wounded brother of the south for “the Muslim is one body if a finger hurts the rest of the body feels it”. Now more than ever south needs your helping hand. We in the west have the best opportunity to get our voices across to the media and people of power, to take the case of Somalia serious. Each and every one of us regardless of what our quarrels are has a responsibility. Our Muslim brothers in Bosnia set precedence in the mid 90s, while the brave boys, old men of Bosnia took arms to fight against the Orthodox Serbian onslaught, young Bosnians in the west lobbied the UN, NATO and all other international organisation to put the plight of their people on the map. I still get inspired when I watch the young Bosnian youth who stood in front of the United Nations Security Council to advocate for his people. Saxiibayal if we don’t do anything for our people do you think others will. Mashallah yesterdays the turn out in London Demo was great but us the young need to take the step further by writing to our MPs, councillors, the foreign office, to the UN to News papers etc. Steps to take: - Write a letter to your local MP, councillors, and news papers at least once a week (you can get templates of letter from many internet sites) - In this site lets promote those issues that will unite us It only takes few minutes to write and call your local representatives, especially in boroughs where there is a large numbers of Somalis. Our North American Brethrens I am not too familiar with your system but Inshallah do your best. At the end of the day it the means that we disagree not the end goal And most importantly make dua to those Muslims that suffer around the world, for it is only in the will of Allah that things change Salamu Aliakum --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  8. Bar Ubax is my back yard and where I was raised in my infant years before the war broke up and it is sad to see what has become of a once beautiful place to live. However I urge each every one of us to focus his attenntion in getting rid of this foreign aggressor and to use every tool and method available to get rid of this devil in our midst. The dabodhilifs will be dealth with in due course but one step at a time, once we have a true sovereign state not this mediocare of a government, they who supported and assisted Ethiopia will and shall be charged with treason under Islamic law. In the mean time lets get on with resisting and let them keep boasting with the Ethiopian tanks. “every dog has a day”
  9. "The issue is not changing one person for another. The (issue) is about a new strategy for the withdrawal of the Ethiopian occupation forces from all of Somalia," said Ahmed Abdallah of the Alliance for the Re-Liberation of Somalia (ARS). This is a recent post on SOL regarding the new PM’s call for dialogue, the Alliance clearly state that negotiation cannot take place with the presence of Ethiopians forces, now I have looked far and near to decipher where in that statement it states AU, Arab League, UN, NATO, Viet-Cong, or for that matter US troops must leave for negotiation to take place. Further to the point I have been browsing the Alliance website and I have not found a single line to back up the argument that you made “The Asmara group opposed any AU force, but speak about Ethiopia more” With regards to your second point I haven’t got the time to browse SOL in search for the legislation where Sharif Xasan requested assistance from front line forces. If somebody who knows about this document it would be great to see it. For they say the “the proof of the pudding is in its eating” However even if there is such a “legislation” you can clearly hear from all parts of opposition whether it is civilians or institutions that the main cause of this escalating conflict is because of the Ethiopian presence. Saxiib what kind of pride do you take in seeing your Prime ministerial candidates being vetted in Ethiopia before they are actually appointed, or every time internal conflict happens in the TFG they are either flown to Addis or the Ethiopian Foreign Minister has to fly over to put people in check. Saxiib the Somali masses are telling you get yourself out of the Ethiopian shackles. Write a formal letter to the Addis leadership asking for the withdrawal of their troops. Kaabo the resistance against foreign forces in Somalia is a legitimate one, it is unfortunate that Civilians have been caught in the cross fire and we ask Allah to have mercy on those Muslims that perished in this war against the aggressors and we ask Allah to have mercy on those that will die in the future for the cause of their faith and country. Saxiib time is ticking barely a year left of the TFG mandate and they have achieved nothing but cause chaos, destruction and animosity amongst Somalis from Hergeisa to Kismayo. Do not get fooled the status quo benefits the legitimate resistance no foreign aggressors can fight a prolonged war, the Ethiopian sponsors are becoming impatient and the international community is becoming ever more aware, so for the good of this TFG entity you support tell them to ask the Ethiopians to leave and negotiation can take place. Salaam
  10. Saxiib those who oppose Ethiopian aggression both on this site and the Alliance based in Asmara has not talked about Uganda or AU, UN or Arab troops. Even the TFG Mandate forbids frontline nations from being deployed in Somalia. So saxiib the allegation that the alliance in Asmara will refuse to negotiate even if Ethiopia leaves is baseless and one based on suspicion in fact they have time over time stated that talks can only happen when the Ethiopian troops leave the country in that way We can negotiate Somali to Somali with the absence of foreign stakeholders who are there for their own benefit. Kaabo a strong Somali Army, Navy and Air force that stretches from Kismayo to Zeila is for the benefit of all Somalis and you are not a nationalist unless you wish for a greater Somalia. But I can assure you that those infrastructures not are built by the same force that bombs your children, destroy your economy, kill 6,000 of your own brethrens and cause the greatest humanitarian crises in Africa.
  11. Sister Elysian Lobbying government sister from my knowledge helps you in setting a policy towards the region that you are lobbying for. AIPAC the famous Jewish lobby group has radically changed Americas view on the middle-east. We have over a 100,000 Somalis living in the UK majority living in London. If every person contacts his local MP once a month a lot can be done in bringing a policy that changes Britain or Americas view on East Africa. I have contacted my local MP on several occasions and he has replied back to me on many occasions with each time his knowledge broadened. With the media they bring the story to the fore front and they heat up the fan. These are small things but if you incorporate it with: - Resistance - Fund raising - Strategic Agreements A lot can be done in elevating the Somali from the current status quo
  12. If only if only Afriown, this the peculiar thing one minute you see pictures posted of thousands of TFG troops being trained, and statements such as “Looters inc have been liquefied” But the big white elephant Ethiopia is still needed? If you say you are as strong as you are, ask the Ethiopians to leave and the negotiation will start.
  13. Lool I have just seen the videos, nice brother but I cant agree with his ideas.
  14. The brother was the head of Queen Mary University Somali Society arguably the best run Somali student Society in the UK, and he has organised many events to get the plight of Somalia across. Marcus something is just his pen, just as Thierry is mine. We should be proud of brothers such him not start hating.
  15. Plenty of young and old Somalis went who are angry by the Ethiopian aggression turned up . I along with couple of other nomads from SOL was there. The basic message was that or brother back home are doing the hard work of resisting the aggressors, the Somalis in the west in particular the young generation should do their utmost to push the Somali agenda at the fore front. The speaker encouraged us to get together with established Somali organisations or with a couple of your nomads and to lobby the British government and media.
  16. A very good talk, some of the facts highlighted by the speakers who have hands on experience: Facts prior to the Tigray Occupation: - 2.5 Million People resided in Mogadishu - 20, 000 students and 100s educational institutions - 77 Hospitals - Crime level lower than most OECD countries - No Pirating of the coast - Reconstruction of monuments and other Public buildings - A major business boom - Many more points (I cannot remember) - Law and order Current Status quo: - 60% of the population are in Refugee camps - There almost zero student in Mogadishu - 3 hospital left (one of which the speaker works at) - Rape, looting and torture widespread in the whole country - Economic development has halted - Africa’s Greatest humanitarian crisis - Over 6,000 civilians killed - Many more points This is this statement that stood out for me the most: “The Dabodhilifs and Pro Italians during the era of independence their children are a shamed to state what their surname is, thus to those current dabodhilifs do not let your children be a shamed of you”
  17. you could be right although does not have that much experience in that weight category (the guy barely made it)
  18. Maybe Somaliland will be the base for Africom. Saxiib its very simple they have failed and they are running out of options just they are in Iraq and Afghanistan. It is their way of experimenting with other options. I saw Jendayi Frazer on Channel 4 last night and she got grilled by Jon Snow. They know its back fired so they are looking for other options
  19. Now I know why those who defend the evolution theory have such conviction on their theories. As long as barbaric donkeys like Maxamed Dheere roams around they can say look at him. Once this Ethiopian bandwagon leaves, he will join Bashir Ragge and his infamous life vest of the coast.
  20. I tell you what I might have to change my mind I have seen a few videos on youtube Maywheather is a solid fighter although he has a motor mouth. Hatton will need to fight like he has never fought to get anywhere in this fight
  21. That’s why I am waiting for the old man to get out of ring side. Round 7. It is actions we question not persons, so I will not comment on his health.
  22. Alright nomads this Saturday we have a clash of giants there has not been a big fight night like it for a very long time. Who do you think is going win Hatton or Mayweather. I have my money on the Hitman that Yankey is going be taught a lesson he will never forget.
