Salamu Alaikum Brother I am not aware if you know the Archibishop of Cantebury said that Britain will eventually have to accept some practises in Shariah, the media, public and politician went on a out rage. The article tells you about Abu Sufyan encounter with heraclius and how Hereclius he said that Mohamed (saw) will one day rule the land beneath my feet at the dismay of his people. Read it its quite interesting

Somali President on talks and security TV interview
Thierry. replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
His speech was not bad this time although there were some glitches I have heard much worse from him. -
Heraclius, The Roman - Head of the Christians of Sham Recently the Archbishop of Canterbury, the head of the Anglican Church, Dr Rowen Williams suggested that parts of Islamic Shar’iah law be recognised and incorporated into British law. Politicians and media alike immediately turned against him and launched a relentless attack upon him calling for his retraction, and even his resignation. It seems that Dr. Williams is not free to think, and not free to say what he feels in this land of free-speech and democracy. If a person like the Archbishop expresses something that goes against the perceived norms, he is harrassed, bullied, humiliated and forced out of office - he is made an example of, and a deterrent to others who maybe thinking of rocking the boat and challenge established doctrines. This is a good time for Chritians who are just-minded to ponder over Islam and its message that calls to the worship of the one and sole creator of the heavens and earth, Almighty God. One of the disciples of the Prophet Muhammad, Abdullah bin Abbaas said: Abu Sufyan bin Harb informed me that Heraclius had sent a messenger to him while he had been accompanying a caravan from Quraish. They were merchants doing business in Sham (Syria, Palestine, Lebanon and Jordan), at the time when Allah’s Apostle had truce with Abu Sufyan and Quraish infidels. So Abu Sufyan and his companions went to Heraclius at Ilya (Jerusalem). Heraclius called them in the court and he had all the senior Roman dignitaries around him. He called for his translator who, translating Heraclius’s question said to them, “Who amongst you is closely related to that man who claims to be a Prophet?” Abu Sufyan replied, “I am the nearest relative to him (amongst the group).” Heraclius said, “Bring him (Abu Sufyan) close to me and make his companions stand behind him.” Abu Sufyan added, Heraclius told his translator to tell my companions that he wanted to put some questions to me regarding that man (The Prophet) and that if I told a lie they (my companions) should contradict me.” Abu Sufyan added, “By Allah! Had I not been afraid of my companions labeling me a liar, I would not have spoken the truth about the Prophet. The first question he asked me about him was: ‘What is his family status amongst you?’ I replied, ‘He belongs to a good (noble) family amongst us.’ Heraclius further asked, ‘Has anybody amongst you ever claimed the same (i.e. to be a Prophet) before him?’ I replied, ‘No.’ He said, ‘Was anybody amongst his ancestors a king?’ I replied, ‘No.’ Heraclius asked, ‘Do the nobles or the poor follow him?’ I replied, ‘It is the poor who follow him.’ He said, ‘Are his followers increasing decreasing (day by day)?’ I replied, ‘They are increasing.’ He then asked, ‘Does anybody amongst those who embrace his religion become displeased and renounce the religion afterwards?’ I replied, ‘No.’ Heraclius said, ‘Have you ever accused him of telling lies before his claim (to be a Prophet)?’ I replied, ‘No. ‘ Heraclius said, ‘Does he break his promises?’ I replied, ‘No. We are at truce with him but we do not know what he will do in it.’ I could not find opportunity to say anything against him except that. Heraclius asked, ‘Have you ever had a war with him?’ I replied, ‘Yes.’ Then he said, ‘What was the outcome of the battles?’ I replied, ‘Sometimes he was victorious and sometimes we.’ Heraclius said, ‘What does he order you to do?’ I said, ‘He tells us to worship Allah and Allah alone and not to worship anything along with Him, and to renounce all that our ancestors had said. He orders us to pray, to speak the truth, to be chaste and to keep good relations with our Kith and kin.’ Heraclius asked the translator to convey to me the following, I asked you about his family and your reply was that he belonged to a very noble family. In fact all the Apostles come from noble families amongst their respective peoples. I questioned you whether anybody else amongst you claimed such a thing, your reply was in the negative. If the answer had been in the affirmative, I would have thought that this man was following the previous man’s statement. Then I asked you whether anyone of his ancestors was a king. Your reply was in the negative, and if it had been in the affirmative, I would have thought that this man wanted to take back his ancestral kingdom. I further asked whether he was ever accused of telling lies before he said what he said, and your reply was in the negative. So I wondered how a person who does not tell a lie about others could ever tell a lie about Allah. I, then asked you whether the rich people followed him or the poor. You replied that it was the poor who followed him. And in fact all the Apostle have been followed by this very class of people. Then I asked you whether his followers were increasing or decreasing. You replied that they were increasing, and in fact this is the way of true faith, till it is complete in all respects. I further asked you whether there was anybody, who, after embracing his religion, became displeased and discarded his religion. Your reply was in the negative, and in fact this is (the sign of) true faith, when its delight enters the hearts and mixes with them completely. I asked you whether he had ever betrayed. You replied in the negative and likewise the Apostles never betray. Then I asked you what he ordered you to do. You replied that he ordered you to worship Allah and Allah alone and not to worship any thing along with Him and forbade you to worship idols and ordered you to pray, to speak the truth and to be chaste. If what you have said is true, he will very soon occupy this place underneath my feet and I knew it (from the scriptures) that he was going to appear but I did not know that he would be from you, and if I could reach him definitely, I would go immediately to meet him and if I were with him, I would certainly wash his feet.’ Heraclius then asked for the letter addressed by Allah’s Apostle which was delivered by Dihya to the Governor of Busra, who forwarded it to Heraclius to read. The contents of the letter were as follows: “In the name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful (This letter is) from Muhammad the slave of Allah and His Apostle to Heraclius the ruler of Byzantine. Peace be upon him, who follows the right path. Furthermore I invite you to Islam, and if you become a Muslim you will be safe, and Allah will double your reward, and if you reject this invitation of Islam you will be committing a sin by misguiding your Arisiyin (peasants). (And I recite to you Allah’s Statement:) ‘O people of the scripture! Come to a word common to you and us that we worship none but Allah and that we associate nothing in worship with Him, and that none of us shall take others as Lords beside Allah. Then, if they turn away, say: Bear witness that we are Muslims (those who have surrendered to Allah).’ (3:64). Abu Sufyan then added, “When Heraclius had finished his speech and had read the letter, there was a great hue and cry in the Royal Court. So we were turned out of the court. I told my companions that the question of Ibn-Abi-Kabsha (refering to the Prophet Muhammad) has become so prominent that even the King of Bani Al-Asfar (Byzantine) is afraid of him. Then I started to become sure that he (the Prophet) would be the conqueror in the near future till I embraced Islam (i.e. Allah guided me to it).” The sub narrator adds, “Ibn An-Natur was the Governor of llya’ (Jerusalem) and Heraclius was the head of the Christians of Sham. Ibn An-Natur narrates that once while Heraclius was visiting ilya’ (Jerusalem), he got up in the morning with a sad mood. Some of his priests asked him why he was in that mood? Heraclius was a foreteller and an astrologer. He replied, ‘At night when I looked at the stars, I saw that the leader of those who practice circumcision had appeared (become the conqueror). Who are they who practice circumcision?’ The people replied, ‘Except the Jews nobody practices circumcision, so you should not be afraid of them (Jews). ‘Just Issue orders to kill every Jew present in the country.’ While they were discussing it, a messenger sent by the king of Ghassan to convey the news of Allah’s Apostle to Heraclius was brought in. Having heard the news, he (Heraclius) ordered the people to go and see whether the messenger of Ghassan was circumcised. The people, after seeing him, told Heraclius that he was circumcised. Heraclius then asked him about the Arabs. The messenger replied, ‘Arabs also practice circumcision.’ (After hearing that) Heraclius remarked that sovereignty of the ‘Arabs had appeared. Heraclius then wrote a letter to his friend in rome who was as good as Heraclius in knowledge. Heraclius then left for Homs. (a town in Syrian and stayed there till he received the reply of his letter from his friend who agreed with him in his opinion about the emergence of the Prophet and the fact that he was a Prophet. On that Heraclius invited all the heads of the Byzantines to assemble in his palace at Homs. When they assembled, he ordered that all the doors of his palace be closed. Then he came out and said, ‘O Byzantines! If success is your desire and if you seek right guidance and want your empire to remain then give a pledge of allegiance to this Prophet (i.e. embrace Islam).’ (On hearing the views of Heraclius) the people ran towards the gates of the palace like onagers but found the doors closed. Heraclius realized their hatred towards Islam and when he lost the hope of their embracing Islam, he ordered that they should be brought back in audience. (When they returned) he said, ‘What already said was just to test the strength of your conviction and I have seen it.’ The people prostrated before him and became pleased with him, and this was the end of Heraclius’s story (in connection with his faith). Reported by Al-Bukhaaree, Chapter of Revelation.

Interesting topic I will contribute soon Inshallah But in Summary I am in favour of a open and liberal market economy, because I believe it will suit Somalia better than the coordinated markets where the government has tight controls. Isse I think you remember when the Accountant said in that talk that the Somali economy was stronger in the era of civil war than it was under the socialist Siad Regime. The government should regulate and assist but it needs to stay away from the economy.

I do not want to generalise but it seems Sub-Saharan African teams lack discipline and coordination, you can have all the muscles and athleticism in the world but if you haven’t a got a footballing brain you will get smoked. Norf he had a bad game must have been the Ivorian shirt, you be amazed what a simple shirt change does to footballers just ask your man Gerard

I walked away at half time in disgust man looks like odayga Ngonge predictions are coming true, if this was the financial market you wold have been arrested for inside trading.

Simple solutions to terror groups and security.
Thierry. replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
but it will take time before they are entirely rooted out That’s the magic sentence saxiib in reality you do not have time, the TFG mandate will come to an end in less than a year, so how do you think you can defeat the people when you haven’t defeated them in the last year and two months. this is the infamous Mogadishu, where for the past 17 years insecurity, looting, Isbaaro’s, and mayhem were the norms and law of the land. OLD DAYS are over, the TFG is in Mogadishu patrolling the streets Your words might have been more believable if the Mayor, MPs and chief of Police where not members of the Puppet government, but alas contradiction is very normal to TFG supporters. Mogadishu, Bosaso, Kismayo glory days will come back when those who truly represent the Somali interest are in power until then enjoy the Presidential name tag while it last. -
Ah its that time of the year, how women have missed it, the time when John irons his Primark shirt and tie, replaces the Guinness lager with a glass of chardane, hoovers the house and buys flowers and some chocolates from Woolworths. Ah every woman’s dream to bad it will only last for a day.

Hold your horse kaabo whilst it is unfortunate that civilians were massacred there is no need for an emotional reaction when the entity you support has killed and displaced a far greater number. Your reaction would be more credible if you showed the same emotions when Mogadishu was being bombed. I will give you a more sensible list of culprits that should be brought forward when a proper Judicial system is in place (after nobody should be killed without evidence). (1) Yey (2) Gheedi (3) Abdi Qaybdeed (4) Maxamed Dheere etc -
Adebayour my man, what did I tell you guys it was a blessing Togo did not qualify for the African nations cup. Arsenal Vs Utd (FA Cup) will arguably be the most competitive game in whole of Europe this season, I hope we do them in

I was watching a Black Barbara shop on CNN (I believe) were the people in the shop were being asked which candidate they were supporting, almost everyone in the Barber unanimously agreed on Barack Obama (This was South Carolina). However the Barber shop owner said that he was voting for Hilary to the amazement of everyone else. But I very much liked the wisdom behind his choice, he said This Barber shop is how I feed my family, if the economy goes down these people sitting here getting a hair cut have a choice of buying food for their family or getting a hair cut and always in times of hardship needs are more important than wants. He said he knew the Clinton economic prosperity era and will vote to bring it back We here in the other parts of the world want Obama. But do not let the media hysteria fool you Clinton and the Mcain are still the major players. The average American is not a celebrity or young middle class hippie.

Toure, the TFG is not gonna change and the old days of clan militias ruling Mogadishu/South are over. Duke my Friend like Northerner said the old days of Isbaaro and warlord fiefdom ended in the summer of 2006 when the TFG backed warlords Qanyaare and co was ousted. You had an organisation that was willing to work with a legitimate government and was willing to even incorporate their soldiers into the Somali armed force unfortunately the TFG leadership (Yey and Gheedi) had other sinister plans for our country. When the Ethiopians leave a shackle free TFG will be restructured and candidates who serve the interest of Somalia will be installed, the armed forces will not only consist of a homogenous clan from the North-East but men born and breed in Mogadishu will serve their own streets, thus facilitating Non border preferably Islamic peace keepers to help the nation through a period of recovery and reconciliation. So saxiib you have an option, support your clan interest and the Ethiopian incursion, or agree to an Ethiopia free Somalia where elderly and politician come to a consensus serving the people. Salam

Patience and perseverance pays off, if the mighty America is thinking of packing their bags in Baghdad what do you think of these hired mercenaries, once their money supply they have no reason to be there. As always in prolonged war the inhabitants are in the long term the victorious. Good general nobody is after your stooge government, but don’t expect the structure to be the same once your muscle is gone. We salute the brave warriors who attacked and made the mercenaries stay in Mogadishu nightmare.

Nur Adde not compliant enough, says Ethiopian Army
Thierry. replied to Armchair Politician's topic in Politics
If true Nur Adde waa rageeyge, we need men who serve the interest of Somalia -
General I am very disappointed saxiib, your sound evidence of Sharif snitching on his men is because the US had talks with him in Kenya, this proves nothing so unless you have tapes, video broadband connection of him actually saying such things do not assume. Like AP said the man stated exactly what every Somali including the family of Ahmed Diiriye believed. Saxiib the era of this coward you support will be one of the darkest in Somali History, at least Siyaad and Aideed Sr used their own men to subjugate the people, this coward had to hire foreign mercenaries showing that he neither has strength nor support of the people and you try to compare him to Sharif Ahmed you are only doing yourself a disservice. Do not dig yourself a grave Kaabo if we compare like for like acts of treachery the man you support surpasses any Somali person.
-
Lool General your conspiracies are getting ever more ridiculous are you sure you didn’t produce the loose change documentary, now you say Sheikh Sharif ratted on his men, saxiib the proof of the pudding is in its eating. Ahmed Diiriye said what he believed in, that the aggressors in Somalia are the Ethiopian forces, the mercenaries arresting him only elevates his position amongst Somalis. Saxiib is this the silly militia that you promised your Ethiopian friends would eradicate a year ago, like I said saxiib go and ask Gabre for more troops because he has clearly under estimated the strength and endurance of the Mogadishu fighter. Hows the 2009 campaign coming along by the way, you still believe Somalis leaders or masses are going to make the same mistake they made in 2004
-
Saxiib nobody in the world is infallible and all are error prone but let the Somali people decide between: Sheikh Sharif: Ahmed Diiriye has been killed or Yey: Bringing thousands of foreign merceneries to massacre his on people. Gives us a brake saxiibayal you support the scum of the earth a man who we all knew how rotten he was but gave a chance for the benefit of the nation, but like the say the chicken has come home to roost.
-
Saxiib laugh as much as you want Sheikh Ahmed Diiriye is back in the streets he belongs the mercenaries your uncle so cowardly brought aint got nothing on him, them and the TFG soldiers are being ambushed day in day out and only couple months left before the TFG Disney ride comes to an end. Should not concern yourself with Diriiye well being the shabaab are still around the corner time is running saxiib why don’t you ask General Gabre for reinforcement.
-
Is this the best you can come up with, this only proves how clean the good Sheikh is, the only evidence you have is a statement every sane Somali believed in Sheikh Ahmed Diiriye and other leaders were not seen for weeks they could have fully well been taken to Addis and been assassinated, Alhamdulillah they were not and will live to fight another day. Saxiib do not shoot yourself in the foot trying to demonise Sheikh Sharif will only back fire on you, he is not the same as the coward that you support whose only way of coming to power was through the Ethiopian tanks. The man you support committed the greatest act of treachery his legacy is firmly established alongside Judas, the Amir of Granada and Hamid Karzai. Saxiib the leader of one Somalia major clans is out a man you claim to be a looter and he is still adamant on his views. Sheikh Sharif is a diplomat and a man that knows manners not some old schooled soldier who makes everyone angry the minute he opens his mouth.

It is true I can testify to it myself. Ninobrown congratulation bro and I wish you all the best in your new marriage and may Allah give you healthy kids who are duty full to there parents. Ngonge I am sorry chief but blame it on Caano Geel he should have informed you, you missed one hell of a feist I am still trying to recover from it.

I tell you what saxiib they have a point and if I was white I would vote Tory but I am a migrant so Gordon Brown will do it for me. PS: did you read a couple of weeks ago the Tory plan for incapacity benefits; they said they will review everyone on it as they recon they can remove at least 200.000 people from it. So folks Vote labour in the next general election and you will not be questioned about the fake trauma that you claim.

I agree I commend the work of the MCB I think they are doing what can, it easy to sit in my house a criticize them for not doing a good job, but we have to remember that most of the leadership are old men first and second generation Pakistanis that are not trained for the problems the young generation are facing in the UK. So if we want to improve them well we can also volunteer. But saxiib like you said although foreign policy has some influence in the mindset of an extremist, for somebody to go and blow up a bus with women and children in it there is no excuse for that. Majority of the Masjids are sponsored by the Saudi government and to be fare they have radically changed the view of the “Bengali Mosque”, “Somali Mosque” and into organisations that teach the same doctrine, must Imams are English but Educated in Saudi Islamic Universities such as Medina University” Saxiib the Sufis are a joke but are winning a lot of backing from conservative right wing politicians and think tanks. I don’t know if you watched last month the report by the Policy Exchange think tank most of their bogus information came from the Sufi council. Here is the link if you have not seen it
