I will heed Sophist advice and leave the platform for Ngonge and Xiin, I will just add Domestic Achievements: • Built a formidable cabinet • Got the Ulema on board • Got Puntland on board with the nomination of Ina Abdi Rashiid (remember the secession talk) • Open the platform of negotiation showing that he wants peace • Won over the masses specially in the conflict zone • Stood firm and calm against an overwhelmingly armed opposition • Recruited former Somali Military Officers (who recently had a meeting in the US to formulate a strategy in building the strong national army that we had in the 80’s • Training & recruitment for the army • Training & recruitment for the Navy International Achievements: • Got the funds and pledges of over $200 Million for Security • Foreign Minster beautifully argued that rather than foreign troop deployment International community should focus on building strong domestic forces. • Blockaded the source of income and weapon (ports) the opposition use These are just some of the many achievements the President has made in less than 5 months. The president has planted the seeds for his term. Even the leader of the “Free world" Obama has achieved less than this humble Geography teacher. The President is not perfect but he is by far the best person to lead the country, the only man universally popular and acceptable to all Somalis.

Thats right, however InshAllah I hope to be surfing in Jazeera beach 4 years from now rather than be involved in British politics
-
Good speach by the President

Paragon this is a cyclical processes let Cameroon the chameleon rule for a term, the public will get tired of his spin just in time for a fresh young labour with Miliband brothers, Dougles Alexander and Co to come and rule for 3 more terms.
-
Lads it doesn’t mater if a donkey was the head of Tories and Mandela as the head of Labour, conservatives will win the next election. People are tired with new labour and need change (for better or worse). Gordon Brown is the right man in at wrong time, if he wanted to truly lead labour he should have pressed the issue with Mandelson and Blair in mid 1990’s. Paragon send me the stuff saxiib

Che the show is great it takes time to get into it, but i like the fact that there is no fine line between the police and the Barksdale empire.

Somalia Government Announces Plan to Defeat Alshabaab in Mogadishu
Thierry. replied to xiinfaniin's topic in Politics
thats it a comprehensive plan needs to be put in place to defeat these Takfiries come on Duke What Military school did Geoff Hoon and Des Brown go to when they served as defence Ministers, the guy might look like Ghandi but he aint -
Peace Action I Disagree Norf is schooling the old man and his radical son, he gave LG a nice cross and she finished it like Batistuta.

Saxiib deviant groups have attacked a Muslim government who wants to have peace with them, it is in its right to defend itself how it deems, or you know the consequence. I suggest you go and reread the Israeli statement properly in its context before calling a Muslim a Munaafiq. I support peaceful negotiation, if that doesnt work, then the government can use the necessary tools to defeat those that want to destroy it
-
So you support the current unprovoked attack against the government, interesting stuff
-
Adeer what do you support is it Al Shabaab or the TFG there is no middle ground, especially in a time of war. Saxiib don’t comment on others Islam when you have no knowledge of them.
-
Zeylaci saxiib come back to me when you support something, a man can only debate with someone when they know what they stand for, pick a side before the rain hits you. Others have sworn their allegiance for better or worse.
-
Good development Inshallah we need our Muslim brothers to assist us with this Fitna.
-
Adeer if bringing "Israeli" jets means saving Somalia and its people from these savages, I would do it in a second and sleep like a baby. But lucky for you I am not the President
-
The whole cabinet with the exception of the few who tried the mutiny are calm and cool I wonder why. Xiin I blame you for trying to reach the sol hand to this melodramatic clown, wise man you should know with some you cant reason, this guy is the Michael savage of the Somali cyber world.
-
My main man the Hip Hop Jihadi Adeer your group has forced the President into a corner, just don’t yell foul play at the consequences of your groups actions.

Somalia's deceitfully structured government near collapse
Thierry. replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
Aw-Muuse You make very good points and this the beginning of grander scale of actions, remember at the beginning of the 2006 war when the ICU captured Buur Xakabe a couple of days after the capture the Ethiopians and TFG retook the city easily before they retreated back to Baidoa. The ICU forces then led by Mr Haste Indha Cade surrounded Baidoa, any sane person would evacuate the onslaught that was about to take place, yet Yusuf and Ali Gheedi remained in the city. The veteran soldiers within the ICU issue warned of the trap yet the novices paid no attention. I am not going to lie I enjoyed AlleUbane sol predictions of how we would pray Jumah the following Friday at Addis lool. Today with the “siege of Villa Somali” the cabinet is still there. - The people finally know the President has been pushed to a corner - The futile Mutiny carried out by certain members of a sub sub clan has been unravelled - He knows who is loyal to him Brilliant stuff, even if he calls upon Israeli troops today he would have sympathy from the masses. Now is the time to play hardball and this has surely been a good experience Mr President. -
^^ compromise about what, they want Shariah he wants Shariah, they want posts in government he is willing to sack some of his ardent companions to get them in government. Sh Aweys says get the Ugandans out and we will talk, Al Shabaab say even if they leave we will fight you. The President tells Aweys I too want Ugandans out but they along with my small troops defend my government against Al Shabaab who you don’t control. Saxiib it’s a deadlock and the good Sheikh is being cornered more by the day, if he doesn’t organise himself militarily now he will later be forced to do what every man dreads (ask help from ones former foes (Ethiopians))
-
Norf I hope that’s the case, for a mere position can be solved easily. The President has reached out to all groups, his Foreign Minister said he will talk to anyone interested. Its time for the defence to start flexing some muscle, I have said sooner or later he will have to start playing hardball.
-
Inaalilaahi wa inaa ileyhi raajicuun Brother remove the pictures RR I agree saxiib this fragmented group want no peace, however the government is letting the people know that it has reached out to Al Shabaab and to no avail. Sooner or later its break or get broken.
-
No irony here just facts on the ground, the government has a little force to defend it self against the vast fragmented resistance groups, it doesn’t take a brain surgeon to realise that secession of violence will lead to withdrawal of the Amisom troops. Let us solve the problem in the right chronological order (Violence stops and the government will be safe enough to ask them to withdraw) otherwise the government will be sitting ducks for these phantom killers. Secondly what a silly comparison, the former government inherited a peaceful city willing to negotiate and make Yusuf its rightful President but he rolled in the Ethiopian tanks, this President has inherited a broken and unsafe (even for his own life) city and is carefully learning how to survive. Security is paramount if anything is going to be done, so unless Mr Abu you can guarantee that, phased withdrawal is the best option.
-
Let us not get fooled by the media and our resident confused Jihadi, Al Shabaab is not a super organised group that needs to be appeased. The reality on the ground is that these are very young boys aged between 12-18 who grew up in civil war, they have no direct chain of command. This explains the recent rise in assassinations such Tahlil of HornArique, no one has claimed the killings and even their supposed leaders (Abu Mansur) is condemning the killings. I have recently heard from a relative that came from Mogadishu that a 12 year boy killed his parents because he accused them of not being married lawfully insisting that they should remarry, incidentally this boy’s preacher and Amir is a 16 year old. Now do should the government negotiate with every teenage gang leader in Mogadishu. Pres Sharif should talk to and reach his hand to who ever wants to negotiate and talk, but more importantly he should present incentives (Schooling, work, Islamic Scholarship) for these young misguided children to give up there criminal activities. One cannot appease everyone and sooner or later Goodane, Mansur et al will come to find themselves isolated individuals Ps: Amisom should leave in a phased withdrawal, the stronger the government forces become the less Amisom presence is required.
