  1. This site is over 11yrs old with thousands of registered users, so you know some people who were either members, or use to read this board have passed away (AUN). Personally i don't know anyone from SoL who died. I met 3 people from here (2003, 2004) that I haven't talked to them or seen them here ever since. I hope they are alive and doing well.

So yeah, the savings are real. We have charging stations in several places near were I live, but I have never used them personally. I just plug my car in the garage every other night and that usually is enough to take me to work and wherever else I need to be. Nice.

To those SOLers living in Cali, I recommend you get yourself an electric car as well. Besides, the savings you would make, by not paying an arm and leg for gas, the other incentives to get one are most attractive. When I bought mine, I earned close to $7500 tax credit from Uncle Sam and a further $2000 from Governor Brown. Also, driving in the diamond lane WITHOUT a second passenger and being able to park for free in all metered parking throughout my county and most major cities is a huge plus. I bet you save on GAS money. Now, do they have those recharging stations everywhere, and what happens if u ran outta juice?

He's a professional bodybuilder, and even with steriods you have to train super hard and eat lots of food, just taking them won't make you that big. Everyday you have to go through the same routine of training and eating, it takes a lot of mind-power to sustain that physique and condition. Steriods only allow a person to recover faster after an intense work-out, and since he wants to compete with the world's best, then it makes sense that he would use them. For me I can only train chest once a week, but a person that uses performance-enhancements could easily train that body part twice a week, and make twice as many gains because the muscles recover faster. Yea, that guy might not be on steroids, but there are plenty more that are using it. From what little i've read online about steroids, it get's you jacked up pretty quick without having to do any of the hard work and training.

Yea it always comes down to access to public transport, and which one is cheaper. If gas prices keep going up (and i don't see them coming down anytime soon) then they would have to infest more in either building trains or make cars that get a high gas mileage. My cousin owns a truck and i can only imagine how much it costs to feel that thing up.
  8. Outside of Minneapolis/St.Paul, there are NONE.
  9. Exactly Abwaan. Outside of NYC/DC/and few other cities, public trans is almost non non existent in many parts of this country. People have no other choice but to drive.
  10. It's all steroids dude. I use to know this one guy in Minnesota who use to be skinny AF but some how put on at least good 50 - 70lbs of pure muscle in a short period of time. You can't tell me its' all from hard work and going to the gym. From what i remember, he didn't even like going to the Gym. Most people are starting to take stuff nowadays. Juicing.
  11. I just read it's $5 a gallon in some parts of SoCal. That's when you really know it's either time to carpool/take the bus or get a small car. I can't imagine paying that much for gas. Yahoo! is also reporting gas related thefts is also going up. Damn.

The weather isn't great for much of the year, but it gives us something to talk about and be happy about when it's good. If you came to the UK and hated it, fair enough, feel free never to return but please stop moaning about your weeks visit. *yawn* Che, what did I write to make you laugh? Might be a good place to live, but the bad rap in this post is a good enuff reason for me to never ever wanna go there:).
  14. In general, the quality of Hip Hop/Rap has been trending down lately....but surprisingly, Somali rap has been getting better and better IMO.

  21. Ah, second video is full of "future" potential members for the Somalis Behind Bars thread.
  22. My sources confirm this. Discuss.
