MMA My fellow, it is more like out taste altering—it all about the change of environment. Arintaan kaligaa kuma dhicin aan kudhahay! Ar maxaa midoo qalanjo unaqaaney; and when we moved to the west she had become banal looking. kaligey lee isdhahaayey arinkaan uu kuheystaa laakiin hee, shaw waa la ila arkay isbedelkaan About the question. I remember incident which took place between my brother who is the deifinion of haughtiness, my cousin and I. My cousin was infatuated with this girl who lived not far from our house; after unbearable praiseworthy remarks from him day in day ou; ayaan waxaan ku dhahay! Waraa nin iska dhig oo qofta lahadal. Anyhow, to his utter dismay he took my advice and the outcome was let us just say unfavourable. He came back to boys rooms. He was gloomy and my arrogant brother went up to him and asked what beset him to be in such dejected mood. He said Ramla rejected me. How cruel my brother was! Uuh boy he sai; only fools are rejected by females and worst still they are those who take it to the heart---what heartless bugger. He continued to say; you know why I have never been rejected by a girl? At this point I came in and my response was because you prey on those who would submit to your advances?....... Now, unless you are develishly good looking with sharp mind like my brother thinks himself ;D or simply be very clever as to choosing those who you can fly with; then you will be rejected. Nabad

If nation is state is not the current practicable way of organising soiciety (save Islamic government) then what do you suggest would take place in its place? I remember having a conversation with a fellow African chap couple years back. My African friend was enlightened in matters pertaining governance and anything to do with society and it's organisation. He lemented that the reason African countries are in the dire situations politically was due to its lack of "evolutionary process". He pointed out that there was lack of gorowing society to its mature years-- genetical modification of society had taken place. We had been injected with medicines that made us grow faster than nature intended. He continued to argue forcefully that the concept of Nation State was never needed in Africa, this was European conception. We were not mature enough (age wise) to adopt this way governance. Perhaps the intensity of this argument may be persuasive, but I am left to wonder what the solution would be? tribal fuedal system within Somali context? Because that was what we had in Somalia before the White man arrived. She we go back to that; if so wouldn't woe betide us if we attempt such a thing considering the heated political hostility from our despised neighbour-- the ver neigbour that helped us to first organise ourselves as Somalis; Ahmed Gurey's Jihad is what I have in mind. Hello Chaps, As much I am for self expression and politicking; I must say I am becoming dissilutioned with the esteemed moneyed former anthropologist of LSE. The chap is getting on as it were, and as might be aware of ageing is sometimes has its debilitative effect. Dr Iaon Lewis lately seems to divulge his inability to reason well and perhaps grasp the ills we Somalis are suffering. As an Academic who busies himself with the affairs of Somalis (which mind you the chap made enormous wealth which affords him to reside a Victorian white walled house in Hampstead Heath). Though his first seminal work on Somalia was accepted with whole heart; I have always been sceptical about his genuine interest in Somali culture. My suspicion was confirmed after meeting him couple times in search of illumination on Somali history—I was at the time pre-occupied the idea of penning down a book on Sayid Mohamed Abdullah Hassan; and I thought perhaps he would be much help. To my utter dismay, his knowledge on Somalia’s past seemed paltry. Though, he spoke to me at length with delight the Jihad which the Sayid waged against the colonisers and how noble the Sayid was to execute his plan of Somaliweyn. I asked him what he thought of the current political saga (that was in 2000); his response was extemporized; his thoughts running around like headless chicken. Perhaps; I have expected this chap to be somewhat encyclopaedia on foot as far as Somali politics and history is concerned----- this is the picture that is painted about this old English Aristo want to be. His soft spoken manner captures one just to be dispelled such frail picture by his spiteful ideas on Somali’s future. At the time he was releasing his revised despicable book on the modern history of Somalis which of course he was invective towards the the clans who occupy Mogadishu. I felt sick at heart, and of course expectedly told what I thought of him at the time. The chap likes to tantalise the minds of young aspiring Somalis with praiseworthy words which one without much training mayu fall for it—flattery sometimes induces even shrewd men into submitting something they would otherwise shy away from. Anyhow, I have yet to see any of his current writings suggesting any remedies—then again inaan gaalkan baarada leh uga fadhino daawao ma ey aha. Nabad

Inaalilaahi Wa inaa Ileyhi Raajicuun! Alaha unaxariisto gabadhan ladiley. Taking the life of a human is an ultimate sin (next to Shirk). In Islam, the Muslim life is more sacred than The Haram Mecca. But as you know there are circumstances in which punishment of sinner entails relieving him/her life. Prime Example being the adulterer or the adulteress. Do we know why he had killed her? Guys don’t get me wrong it is nothing psycho about one having extreme Qiira; but has this killing been justified or excused legally?

Wa Alaikum Salaam Warahmatulaahi wabarakaatuhu Wamaqfiratuhu, Bishaaro my dear sister, if you seriously wanted me to "help" with your English and this was a sincere thing from your part then you would have asked me in private. Are you trying to inflate my already over-sized ego walaal? Sister, there are others in this place who write equally well (I can argue they are better writers than I); Samurai comes to mind so as the lagendary Sirrus. Why ME?>?????

Sheikh Yasin thanks for the link. I am glad that SSHDA is doing what is morally obligated to them. Every region in Somalia deserves its people to help develop it. There are other local agencies operating in diff regions in Somalia. Alhamdulilah for everything that Allah bestowed upon us. Nabad

Ultra-prety girls won't reject you in a fashion which perhaps might cause you to feel agonised by her rejection!! so, my advice to the single chaps is to try to chat up those others shy away from. They would appreciate your confidence; but be sure that you have something to be confident about Nabad.
