  3. "The bottom line is if it can be done in the kitchen, bathroom, office or bedroom, it should not be done in the car," reading ofcourse...one can certainly read in the kitchen, office, bedroom...and the bathroom (while soaking in the bathtub...surounded by candles...er..okay its from the movies but still); but ofcourse reading a book is a big no in the car...must stay focused on the road, to prevent accidents. RED and ROKKO; what ever did you think he meant?

    Wedding Ring

now the story has changed to wedding rings? goodness god! who cares? you give your lady a chest full of dahab and be on your marry way...heck does it matter what ring you put it on? we're taking this western culture too far now...
  5. “The fitrah consists of five things: circumcision, trimming the moustache, cutting the nails, plucking the armpit hairs and shaving the pubic hairs”(Al-Bukhari and Muslim.) the hadith of Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), who said, “He set us a time limit of no more than forty days for trimming the mustache, clipping the nails, plucking the armpit hairs, and shaving the pubic hair” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim). i cant find the hadith right now, but i've read somewhere that after 40 days a person's salat isnt accepted. ~peace and bless
  6. hydrophobia- fear of water Achluophobia - Fear of darkness Acrophobia - Fear of heights reasonable fears...
  7. what shoes do you wear to an oh-so-important interview? your oh-so comfy flats or those hot but painful heels? anyone who answers flats is just kidding themselves or just hasnt had an interview in a long time, 'high' heels arent proper but an inch or 1/2 is usually what is expected. So heels are not a 'fashion' thing, its become a weapon of sorts, a woman wearing heels puts out the whole 'independent, working woman' attitude compared to a woman who's wearing flats. Its not my viewpoint but its what you can find in plenty of articles...heck in one article *i have alot of time going to and from school* stated that woman wearing heels are taken seriously (which is so not true..men will just stare at your 'ahems'...and pretend to be listening).

  10. cant resist buying them...whether i'll wear them or not is another case though.
  11. its easy telling someone their perfume is too strong and telling them to ease off a bit next time without them taking offense. But...how in heavens does one politely tell another that they need to use more than just soap? a spray or two and some deo ...

  13. All of the people in the list have over a 1000 posts yet I can probably say that 99.99999999 % of those posts were a response to a thread. They never take the initiative to start a topic of their own. In fact, not only they not contribute to the site but some of them have the audacity to complain of 'bad/lame' topics. i dont have 1000 posts. Now remove me from that list, pronto!
  14. Originally posted by Taliban: quote:Originally posted by Magool: Which would you choose and why? I am not sure if men can answer the question, but I would choose neither the traditional nor the Western. Instead, I would choose the Islamic wedding which entails a simple wedding with a fantastic qado (preferably at a mosque), one that includes reading the Qur'an and making dua', one that excludes music, dancing or partying, one that complies with the teachings of Islam. I am sure there are many sisters who wouldn't mind a husband who insists on an Islamic wedding. Music is allowed and so is dancing, making a wedding seem like a funeral isnt part of the teachings. So as far as having an islamic wedding goes, a little music, dancing and some pretty clothes is totally 'halaal'. As for having a wedding at the mosque, cool idea but aint nothing wrong with having it in a hall (doesnt make the wedding any less 'halaal'). Most weddings start with a quran and duah reading... Back to the white dress...it looks great but i dont see whats hot bout lookin like every other bride in this world. Something different...design a guntino in away that it'll be wedding dress worthy. Anything ...just not that white dress. true Buuxo, that layered dress does make you look fat. Hot dress though... ~peacerz
  15. ya rabbi thats cruel, if they captured them they might as well have killed them quick rather than making them suffer in pain like that. I never liked beef and stopped eating it as soon as i was old enough to make my own dicisions on food (age 10,), but i witnessed the killing of chicken during my short time in syria some years back and that was enough to get me off chicken perminantly. I have yet to see cows and sheeps being killed but i doubt they're treated any better. Animals are talked about in several hadiths, and in some places (muslim places) such hadiths are ignored and animals suffer...but this here is just plain sick.
  16. since these 'shy' and 'lazy' folks arent going to say anything, you may aswell be selfish and answer if you can... then again, to prevent any heated arguments i could simply take my question to the mosque. sheh dear, aint just about everything haraam now adays??

    hug me

Buy yourself a teddy bear...one of those really big ones are just perfect for moments like these. Hugging another human though is just not the same...there's something iffy bout such contact. Personal bubble.
  19. cooking is relaxing ...so long as after i cook someone cleans my kitchen.
  20. She hasnt touched the pork, isnt consuming it and she isnt exactly 'selling' it either since its not her product...i dont see her having any reason to refuse to ring up the order. She should have known she'd be ringin up pork products when she applied... now my question is whether the money she earns is 100% halaal (since her employer sells pork, earns the money he pays her through those haraam goods)?

  24. May allah reward Nur for all his efforts and teachings...we definatly need him. as for taliban..without him, well lets just say this sorta statement "You have something to do with that. You as a Canadian citizen elected the Canadian government, given it a license to send the military to Afghanistan, which led to the torture and killing of innocent Afghans. Therefore, you share the responsibility. Well?" wouldnt be found. about as rubish a statement as ever...not only do i have to deal with my own sins but now the government's aswell? cajiib iyo half!
